The "Ask Nathan a Question" Thread

I gifted a friend my FK2 (yes I am friend of the year lol) and didn't realize the FK2 design was totally retired 🥲 I miss it - are there any plans to release a similar all arounder camp/bush knife in that 4" - 4.5" range in the (hopefully) not distant future? I also had the BFK prior but found I prefer the smaller/lighter feel of the FK2. Cheers 🍻

Sorry, no.

The signature series version of it is a pretty similar weight

你好,我是一位来自亚洲的买家,也是CPK的忠实粉丝。请问SC和LC大概什么时候发货?谢谢。

Nathan, what other US made steel interests you at the moment? Since you mention in another thread that 3V is now an import, any plans to add a new steel to the mix?

Idunno

I have a very good relationship with Niagara. I'm going to wait and see how this pans out.

Magnacut would be my preferred stainless option for the Skinner. Its relatively high hardness and toughness should make for a strong thin edge (and it sounds like these are ground quite thin) while its carbide structure gives a good toothy edge for meat processing.

D2 would be toothier still (not stainless though).

Nathan, what version of D2 is your preference? D2, psf27, or CPM-D2?

PSF27 has served me well, makes a great hunting/processing knife. Keeps a toothy working edge for meat, and quick to sharpen on a coarse stone.

Ingot, if I recall correctly, but #notnathan
