Is there any way to order some extra scales for the light chopper? Preferably antique micarta?
 
Is the HD medium chopper the same as the Heavy chopper? Is there a second pre order thread coming? I am confused!?
 
It's probably Nathan's "break" so I will try and answer. The HC Heavy Chopper was only made as a prototype, about 10 of them. He recently decided to produce a Heavy Duty Medium Chopper (HDMC) in place of the previously planned HC. There's thread explaining the differences here somewhere. The HDMC can be ordered with or separate from the MC, in the same pre-order. Hope this helps.

I cannot recall what you have said in the past, though I am certain I have seen it at some point. At what temperature will the heat treat on the D3V begin to be affected? How hot can I get one of these knives and for how long? Thanks boss!

Keep it under 400F and it will be fine
