Hello
The detent on my Stellar M390 is very stiff
Is it the same for yours?
It is still in a breaking in period (I have it for +/- 2 weeks) and it improves but it is quite unpleasant to flip open compare to my other shiro
Do you know if there is a way to lighten the detent ?

Not sure if your talking to me or not. But, just in case,.the detent on my F3 is just about as perfect as can be imo.
It's just a pleasure.
As far as lightening the detent, someone more knowledgeable than me will be along I'm sure.

Is this your only Shiro? My stellar I would describe as medium detent and feels perfect. It definitely prefers the light switch flick and not the push button.
F3s have the lightest detent in my experience and are my least favorite action. Hati and f95 are the stiffest detent which I typically prefer. My stellar has broken in perfectly and has become my favorite Shiro or folder period

Mine seemed stiff at first but I love it... It has lightened with time and for sure prefers light switch.

I have a F95NL, a HaTi and an Ursus Quantum
I really like the stellar ergonomics but this hard detent is for the moment annoying
I will let him more time to break in

Then that seems off to me. A slight adjustment of the pivot may help. I’d start there before disassembling and trying to adjust the lock bar
I had the same experience with my 1st Production Stellar -- I restrained from any tuning and after a few weeks the action has become perfect.

They did an exquisite job on those scales.
Feels phenomenal in hand.
I'm finding that Shirogorov has far surpassed any knife that I've ever owend. And by a large margin too.

I didn’t “get” Shiro for years. Finally handled one and it clicked. Still love my CRKs and am digging the Oz Roosevelt but anytime I grab my Shiros I’m reminded of how fantastic they are.
I do wish the pricing was a few hundred less and wished they didn’t lose so much resale value (other than limited edition and custom)

Funny you bring that up.
I'll never understand how a CRK would have better re-sale than a Shirogorov of any model Shiro. A CRK was the biggest let down I've ever experienced. The action was stiff and terrible. I just didn't get it. It sucked to be quite honest. I dunno I could've had a lemon. CRK has an incredible following. And I don't doubt hiw great they are. That was just my experience with that one example.
These Shirogorov's otoh, they come out blazin man.....perfection right outta the box.
Just a different level.

Yes they are different animals all together. Shiros are fast action. CRK do not flip or flick out. It’s a slow roll, hydraulic type action that certainly isn’t for everyone. A well broken in CRK is buttery smooth and one of my favorite actions.
Totally understand it not appealing to everyone tho.

They were gone within four minutes of my notification. I missed ‘em too. Managed to snag the one today though. Had to pause a client in mid-speech to complete the sale in time. Thank goodness he’s a cool customer (pun intended).
