The Beer Scout Knife

Ha! Barry is starting the next trend in knives. Paint drip camo is the new patina.

Great pics! Glad I caved and grabbed a tortoise shell model. So I've been I've been out of the loop and I'm lazy. And yeah I haven't read the whole thread. Can anyone tell me if the bail is removeable?

But it should be left on the knife with a lanyard tied into it. It would be a big bummer to lose the knife and therefore only have a wire bail sitting in your parts bin...

That is great to hear, Mike! I hate getting weak snap on a knife or blade play. It'll make me tear the knife into pieces and bury it in the backyard!

I don't condone mixing firearms with alcohol, but the 'Beer Scout' makes for a handy addition at the cowboy range for tightening those pesky screws that have a tendency to shoot loose; after the shootin' is done we'll use it for it's alternate purpose!

 
Yep, that screwdriver is extremely handy for a lot of easy fixes round the house too.
 
I was actually a bit late for work this morning due to Beer Scout panic.

I'd gotten notification from Collector knives the day before that the Tortoiseshell version was in, but had to wait on some money to clear the bank - plus get permission from HH6. On a whim I went to go ahead and order it before leaving for work only to see it was no longer in stock. Panic ensued and I started trying to find one at other distributors I have used. Took a bit but I found one and placed an order. Looking forward to this knife as I've been wanting a GEC with tortoiseshell scales for a while. Added bonus will be the tongue-in-cheek humor of the Beer Scout name and blade etch.
 
you sunbrite and tortoise owners, how long did it take from payment to delivery? I just payed for my chestnut sawcut, hoping to get it before I leave for the beach next Friday.

Did you get a shipping notice? If it shipped today you should have it Monday or Tuesday.
 
I would think it would ship tomorrow. But, if it does ship Monday you should still see it before Friday.
 
I think I missed it, what are the scale options for these guys?
I've seen:
nifebright
turtle
chestnut sawcut
smooth ivory
cocobolo

Are there any others?
