The Beer Scout Knife

Ebony for the regular run, then Brazilian bloodwood, micarta, and red sawcut for the sfo's

When are the SFO's released? Red Sawcut sounds awesome! :D

Most likely at the end of the runs. This is a big order GEC is filling up so I'm sure in the next week or two we'll see them pop out. The material for the covers have been pictured on GEC's site though so you never know.

you sunbrite and tortoise owners, how long did it take from payment to delivery? I just payed for my chestnut sawcut, hoping to get it before I leave for the beach next Friday.

I ordered mine on the 28th and had it on the first.

I am new to knife collecting my wife bought me this today is this a special knife ?

Don't drink beer but nothing beats Texas heat like an ice cold Topo Chico maybe need to wait and trade for the Scout Jefe model ?

Now I have to figure out what, if any, lanyard I'll use. I normally just run paracord on my pocketknives, but that seems too plain for a fine drinking accessory in tortoiseshell. :)

The second part of my sunbrite got here today with the first part of my tortoise. Remainder of the tortoise, first of the chestnut, and beer glasses expected Monday.

I was actually a bit late for work this morning due to Beer Scout panic.

I'd gotten notification from Collector knives the day before that the Tortoiseshell version was in, but had to wait on some money to clear the bank - plus get permission from HH6. On a whim I went to go ahead and order it before leaving for work only to see it was no longer in stock. Panic ensued and I started trying to find one at other distributors I have used. Took a bit but I found one and placed an order. Looking forward to this knife as I've been wanting a GEC with tortoiseshell scales for a while. Added bonus will be the tongue-in-cheek humor of the Beer Scout name and blade etch.

I wish you would have called, the link just moved from Early Reservers to the home page. But, you can't go wrong with GEC dealers.

If your wife bought it for you it is not special, it is priceless :D If you are smart you

will not trade it you should just buy the Soda Model:D:eek::D:eek:

Just ordered mine. These pictures have been driving me nuts. :)

KSF, and I even paid a little extra so it didn't SF. Mistake, apparently.
USPS seems to take longer to go short distances. I've had packages from a state away take longer than cross country packages. Depends on whether it goes by truck or plane.

Still stinks, hopefully it shows up tomorrow

It was convient timing as mother in law and sister in town visiting so arrived about the same time they came back from the Galleria Mall here in Houston arm full of shopping bags, hence was hard to make a case against the expenditure :)

Who the heck is Jo Malone anyway ?

This is a weird time for the post office and it is going to get worse the next few days with the holiday. They have had some weather and floods effect their distribution centers and it has rippled throughout the system. At least that is what I am told.

Hopefully it will arrive soon!

^ that's what I've seen as well. I had a package make it from Croatia to NYC in 3 days yet it's taken 4 days for it to travel 6 hours to my house in the same state. Tracking never updated so I ended up missing the package today. GRRRR

Oh well, many more knives are expected this coming week to cheer me up!! Come on Chestnut Beer Scout!!
