The Beer Scout Knife

I just paid for my Red Sawcut and Micarta!!!!!!!!!
No I can stop complaining and soon join the club!
 
Came home today to a chestnut saw cut. An hour later, I got an email to pay for my linen micarta [emoji16].

Yep, just placed an order for two micarta. One for myself and one for my cousin as a wedding gift.

Wow, Mike's pic just changed my outlook on that red... holy cow. That is a stunner for sure!
 
My ebony should arrive on Thursday, just as I depart for vacation. The micarta is paid for, and will probably be waiting for me on my triumphant return from the Adirondack wilderness.

Thank goodness that I'll have my ebony on vacation. If not, my father-in-law would taunt me endlessly with his sawcut bone. And there's nowhere to hide in that tiny cabin. [emoji86]
 
So, who is ready go swap me their saw cut for an ebony or ivory bone? I need to try them all to be equal opportunity I feel.
 
Got my order in on the Micarta, looks like butterscotch yo.

The simple scout shield is just more appealing to my eye, another great SFO Mike!

Got mine in on the micarta as well Jeff, the red sawcut was just a bit too fancy for something I deem a 'scout'/beer knife.
 
I'm with ya Tim. I originally had a sawcut bone thinking it would be the tan color like the first TC's had, kinda glad I was wrong because choosing one over the other would have been hard. This is my first new knife in a few months and the micarta will be right at home at work, backpacking or at the poker table. Really lookimg forward to giving this one a workout :)

I think with the rounded handles this one like the ebony, ivory, cocobolo etc beer scout knives will really be quite comfortable in hand with both a blade and caplifter. Haha what kind of workout however ;) I'm a plain jane kinda guy so micarta is a my weak spot.

Tim, It was a very hard decision, I had 1 to choose from and I loved them all but it came down to; I wanted one of Mike's SFO's and I wanted the Natural Micarta but my girls steered me to the red sawcut but I still want them all. haha:o:D Oh well, I only have 1, errr 4, hmm 5 pockets. Glad you got the micarta, it looks like it will last a few lifetimes.
