Thanks, Andrew and Steve. If mine ever comes, I'll have to give it a try. I hate the brushed bolsters.

https://www.bladeforums.com/threads/bladeforums-2024-traditional-knife.2003187/
Price is $300 $250 ea (shipped within CONUS). If you live outside the US, I will contact you after your order for extra shipping charges.
Order here: https://www.bladeforums.com/help/2024-traditional/ - Order as many as you like, we have plenty.
Polish them up with your Levis Jeff .I wonder if it is possible to polish the bolsters without removing the serial number? It looks like the numbers are quite a bit deeper than the striations on the bolster finish.

Good call. I wonder if it’s some kind of secret coded message frommeako though.
Thanks Gary and a merry xmas to all....
He'll show up at Easter, with Santa Claus.... and your knife....still waiting for mine. If it doesn't come tomorrow, there will be no Christmas Bunny!
KintuckeeWhere are these shipping from? I have an unknown package being delivered today...
Your mailman is supposed to deliver all first class and priority parcels. If it doesn' t fit in your slot, they are supposed to leave you a key to the larger parcel lockers on the bottom. Your tracking should say left in parcel locker. If the parcel locker does not work or the keys are lost, its your mail carriers responsibility to put in the work order to fix them. If the locker is not fixed yet they are supposed to at the very least leave the parcel at your front entrance but preferably hand deliver to a member of the residence. You should not have to go to the post office to get your non signature required parcels. Our places here are pretty scattered not a group of houses in a neighborhood.

I did polish the wood and bolsters on mine and the serial number is more subtle, but it isn’t polishing away any time soon. I went all the way down to 400 grit, then 600, 800, 1000, 1500, 2000, 3000, 5000, 8000, then Flitz.Jeff, I think the numbers are deep enough to be able to polish the bolsters and retain the number, I agree with you I absolutely detest brushed bolsters and will be polishing mine.
