The BladeForums 2022 Traditional Knife Thread

How funny would it be if they just etched the serial number on the backside of the main blade so people could simply buff it off for eBay flipping!

I hope the bolsters are stamped with the number though. I wonder if the cover model knife on the magazine is simply that, a store model test knife that ran through the processes not needing a number. There’s extras and weird ones leftover every year.

Good information from the horses mouth. Thanks waynorth waynorth . Hope you have been feeling better lately.
I have been much better, Thanks!!

So, GEC is starting to ship Forum knives!! I suspect most will be out in the mail by Friday or so!!
I have a much smaller order than Spark, so mine are on the way for Canada!!
Can't wait!!

Looks like matte to me also, hope not but if they are will have to sand and polish, hate matte bolsters.
Or you could think of them like they are antique. But I get it, I just love shiny mirror polished bolsters.

Well, looky here!! Serial number 44!! First Bunny knife to hit the table in Canada!!

Firm pull, about 7.5 on both blades! Great fit and (matte) finish!
My first thought was it's a little 'plain' looking for a GEC, but it has such good feel to it, it's raring to go for work or recreation! Rabbits, beware; this knife could could promote a change in diet for many BFers!! Wonder if it will polish itself in my pocket??

Please contact me only if you are a Canadian member!! The USA knives, and European knives will be there soon!!
Spark is your man in America!!

I’m thrilled that the Oil the Joints stamp made it onto the tang. That makes it pretty special! Kinda like a permanent to-do list written on my palm.

I’ve already hatched some devious plots in my mind regarding knife slips. This will be a carrier for sure. I wonder what the chances are if landing #357…
