This rifle is chambered in .20 Practical which mirrors .204 Ruger ballistics with 2 grains less powder. This load is running about 3600fps, but it's a middle of the road charge with 39gr bullets that I just threw together for the match. I had run out of IMR4198 and 32gr Vmax. I have another load I use with 32gr Vmax that chronos at 4000. I can push 26gr pills up to around 4300 in this gun. Even for a wildcat, it's pretty easy going on brass.

Sounds like you have worked up a good load. I imaging anything north of 4,000 is going to be harder on the barrel. That 20 is a fun round to play with, and pretty much vaporizes the prairie dogs. Good for a lot further distances than I have the eyes or the optics for.

The .20 is relatively mild on barrels, people report 3k rounds on a barrel and no loss of accuracy. Mine is a 3 groove polygonal rifling so very little engraving force. It is rather wicked on the sage rats out here.

I need to work up a knife design to go with my ARs and have Daniel make one for me.

^ sounds cool X!

Tony is killing it with the Backpackers! Look out soon!

I've been playing with the Fighter, lol Sara told me she could tell I wanted to keep it... lol that's kind of an understatement!

Folders this morning! I'm going to start off the day with twenty counterbores that all must be accurate to .OOO5" After that twenty more within .OO1" lol and i'm not even kidding! Building reps yo!

Sara and I are going to work on fixed blades together! Each week we will make a small batch of ultralight fixed blades like Backpackers... I'm making knives amd she is making the sheaths, etc. We're starting this week with a mixed group of fixed blades and will be bringing back the Backpacker and Motivator as well as releasing the new Ultralight Backpacker Kwaiken, Backpacker Nakago and eventually a Drop Point Backpacker!

Sounds like a whole lot of cooool is coming from the Fairly shop!
I remember some of those sheaths that Sara made and they were sweeeeet! This ought to be good.
Y'all have a great one.

Sara does do fine leather work! I pretty sure she made the sheath for the Pirate Sword, keeping those seems even and straight on such a large sheath is not easy.

Make it great fellas!

Hey guys, what's the good word?

Today is "Fun with G Flex" day in the shop. Prepping handles and pins for the Backpackers to get glued up!

TR- those are looking classy!

Got my M17 back from the gun smith today with a brand new barrel on it, and my new gun safe arrived today as well! Was getting a little overloaded and needed another...

Next I need to finish inletting my new stock, glass bed the rifle to it, lapp the scope rings, mount and boresight the new scope, bead blast and paint all the metal. Then on to brass sorting, uniforming, prepping and annealing, load development and finally hope to put some venison in the freezer this October!

I've been slowly working on this rifle for 10 years now, finally getting it wrapped up is looking like a reality!

TR, you have any pepper laminate color diamond wood you could do a backpacker for me in? Something to match my stock...

I was gonna listen to Foreigner and make 440a knives today!

OK Kevin it will be Scorpions and maybe some W2! :D or AEB-L I will rock it like a hurricane!!!

The new computer is in! It has a whole "e" button, all of the numbers, the sd drive works!

Mailing earlier and I'm finishing a Ti Nakago (prototype for a possible really major project!!!!) today and then back on the flippers!

Look out for some mega tough fixed blades, I have two .25" S7 Kiridashis and a shorty tanto also in .25" S7 coming right up! One dashi is red gutted paracord wrap and the other two knives are purple wrap.

Which computer/laptop did you go with and what website was it from? I hate computers :D As an old school gamer I have a huge tub of parts from computers that weren't cutting edge... I could probably make at least 3 whole machines that would suffice for today. I've spent way too much time building and problem solving pcs... luckily with laptops I just buy a new one and box up the old one after a hard drive swipe.. those are piling up too.. got some heavy ones from years ago =o

Oldest kid is at grandparents for the WEEK! should be mellow here with only one beak to please :)

stay healthy!

Sup yo....
