Charlie, I can’t even begin to thank you. I was sure this was going to be one of the few knives I’ve ever been bummed to miss out on. Seeing a package in the mailbox from Blaine had my heart racing (probably not the best for the old pacemaker ).

This knife is an absolute BEAUTY! It really seems like GEC pulled out all the stops and stepped their game up for this one. The jigging and bone color is just DIVINE! The pull is a perfect 6 - 7.

GEC also did some fancy work so that the two blades would work well on a single spring.

Double liners on the show side and a single liner on the pile side.

Roughly said French is a mix of Latin, germanic language of the Francs and celtic language. English is a mix of French and germanic languages of the Saxons, Angles and Jutes. Hence the expression "Jute alors ! ". Untranslatable joke .

Whew! After an eventful USPS detour it arrived, safe and sound and just before Helene, thankfully. Not able to get any good pics due to the weather, but I absolutely love this one. Charlie’s SFOs always feel to be on another level in terms of fit and finish to me.

I also came up on another dealer’s list but passed, as much as I’d like two, it didn’t seem fair. I hope it falls to someone else on the porch who hasn’t been able to claim one yet!
