The coin thread--post pictures of your traditional knives with a coin

Two frozen Silver Eagles and an Alox:

Nice photo! I know we're usually talking about patina in regards to knives around here, but your Silver Eagles certainly have a nice patina on them, as well. Is that just from carrying 'em around in your pocket, or did you urge it along in some other way?

A new obsession of mine...all the coins were passed down to me and I started filling books. My son and I are enjoying it. My wife...not so much hahaha.

Oh my Jolipapa!!! Mesmerizing... seriously...
All 3 knives... wonderful... but the photos ... WOW!!!
I'm actually at a loss for words....

Thank you Mssrs :) It' is very cold today and the light is amazing. The 20Fr is better known as Golden Louis or Napoleon, depending of the year. It lasted from 1803 til 1914. This one dates of Napoléon III (Napoléon le petit as Victor Hugo calls him :D).

I'll hopefully have some coins by the end of this week or next week to add to this thread! Y'all are such a terrible influence!

Early delivery! My wife and I decided to start a "Silver Family Tree", so I went online and purchased two Silver Eagles in our birth year, 1988 (I know, we're youngin's), and a commemorative "It's a Girl" Silver Eagle in our daughter's birth year (2016). The Bermuda Green Toothpick was purchased while on our Honeymoon in Tennessee in April of 2015, and the Bermuda Green Peanut was purchased the day before our daughter was born.

While online, I found Morgan Silver Dollars and couldn't pass on picking one up.

There are still a few coins left that I'd like to get, so I may have to be extra careful about knife purchases here in the future.

One post moved due to lack of traditional knife content.

Shawn Fine idea for a collection, also that 14 Sawn Barlow looks well with the Morgan Dollar. The Peace Dollar interests me a lot but I've yet to get hold of one in Europe, the old 5 shillings Crowns from Britain make for a good value large solid silver coin too.

JP The Forum 10 is shown off very nicely with that Magyar banknote, be a good item for the 'Just a Picture' thread too.

Thanks, Will

Here are a few of mine. :)

This little guy started it all for me. I thought it was Russian for a long time, but the company Iskra appears to be Yugoslav after all. Hence it's paired with a coin from the Kingdom of Yugoslavia.
