The Cold Steel AD10 is the best knife money can buy.

Do you own an SR1? This thread actually made me dig up my old Recon 1, and even tho it’s plenty strong for what I’d use it for, if I ever did buy another Cold Steel it would be the SR1. Just because it seems ridiculous. .17 blade stock, 7.2oz
I am the proud owner of an SR1 Lite. It's a terrific knife. I don't edc it, but I know where to go when I have a tough job----again, Cold Steel to save the day for guys like me.

For letter opener guys like Jeremiah Weaver, they stick with the CRKT Hissatsus for Japanese steakhouse chefs and letter opening EDC knives, because that is all they need. For these guys, Cold Steel AD-10 and SR1 Lite----not so much. And, I totally get that for people who have the lifestyle of Jeremiah Weaver and shinyedges. For those guys, it's opening Amazon boxes and watching their custom knives collect dust that they pull out every now and then just to gawk it and say they're the best because it is custom made, has titanium and better hardware, which is a theoretical point of no practical consequence or an aesthetic difference amounting to nothing and obviously not a practical concern given what I have put my Cold Steel AD10 through.

And your thread should be entitled the custom knives I love that collect dust in my drawer because I'll never use them for anything that might mess them up. 🤣

But, then again, what do you care? You presumably like knives and I like knives---the similarities between us end right there. Why? Because you're just a collector, and I'm a user, and the difference couldn't be greater in that regard. That ends the comparison regarding knife needs and experiences between the two of us right there.

And there's nothing wrong with that, but perhaps you should spend more time talking about something that you do actually have some knowledge about, and not something you don't, and that's why you don't want to go barking up my tree ever again.
You have no idea what you are talking about. I have threads and posts on this site showing me using everything from my bk2 from 2012 to bending a busse till it took a set while prying my chainsaw free from being pinched, skinning and processing animals with a 1000 dollar handmade Ben Seward body guard.

Wrong again guy.

I don't own a single knife that I don't use. Most of my knives are well used, some damn right abused. Years of pictures and proof on bladeforums.

I have my experiences, which is what I base my conclusions upon. I'm sorry no video, but my conclusions are supported by eyewitness accounts.
So in other words, you're still going to state your opinions as facts and not provide any evidence to support them, but you'll claim that there's secondhand evidence to support them, you just can't show it to us. That makes it much better.

And yet you took the time to read it, and make this post. Why is that? If it is so bad, then why would you waste your time to post a picture of the cartoon dork on the thread??? That makes no sense to me. It seems to me if you really felt that way, then you would have just moved on, but I guess you had to take your most valuable time to add your 2 cents worth. LOL. Ah, you guys, you're all the same!

That goes for everyone's statements on this thread claiming fact without actual proof. Fair enough, is it not?
I can quote a whole lot of people in this thread right here that disagree with you, so let's make it easy, you find more people that agree with you anywhere than I can find people that disagree with you in this thread and I'll count that as sufficient evidence. I've even given myself an enormous disadvantage by only using one measly thread!

ETA: Let's make it clear, people that agree with you that the AD-10 is the BEST knife with no qualifiers.

Not by me. I stand by my original statement. I have qualified the statement by admitting that a Kabar BK2 and a Fallkniven A1 are better survival knives than the Cold Steel AD10 because they are fixed blades designed for the specific purpose of being a survival knife. However, with that being said, I am more than comfortable with my Cold Steel AD10 by my side under the harshest of conditions and in the most difficult of situations.

Hell, it makes me sleep better knowing my old friend, the Cold Steel AD10, is by my side at night. I sleep better knowing he's around. Like they said, Cold Steel----anytime, anywhere.

I sleep better knowing that I don't have to depend on any folder.
But, were this my thread, I believe that I would just apologize and change the title to, "the Cold Steel AD10 is a great knife!", or something like that.

What difference does that make to a gentleman, sir?

I don't use my knives?

I could go back and post thread after thread of my knife use.

As if I care what you think, sir. As if... that's all I'm saying... As if...

I have a well documented history of using my knives on this site. Plenty of "proof".

You have a fantasy of surviving doomsday with a folder, I understand that. But don't speak on others history's of using knives.... you end up looking like a fool.

And the goalposts move again! You decried multiple statements as being unevidenced while making unevidenced claims yourself, I'm merely setting a fairly low standard of evidence that I, personally, would accept.
Please show me the indisputable evidence that has been shown by anyone on this thread of their custom made knives or whatever being superior to anyone else's?

Your grandstanding really shows your insecurities, sir.
