The Cold Steel AD10 is the best knife money can buy.

That is not a "factual answer." That is conjecture or your part that you are masquerading as "fact," which is in fact. And, that's why you're a hypocrite for accusing me of stating an opinion about the Cold Steel AD10 and calling it a fact. Here you are doing the same thing when reasonable minds could clearly differ on the issue.

I am not convinced by you, and you underwhelm me with your knowledge about knives.
It is a fact that an ad10 made with titanium scales with no liners is stronger than the cold steel ad10. You're delusional.

Really? That's amazing! How'd you come to that conclusion?
See post #190 for one example of my point. Seriously, I'm beginning to wonder whether you can actually read. Stick to the knife discussion!!!!!!!

Where's the indisputable practicable evidence in the world of practicality regarding an AD10 custom v. Cold Steel AD10? Where is it!?!?

I think we've had this conversation before, sir, and when you talk about knives like the CRKT Hissatsu and the Cold Steel Tuff Lite, I sincerely hope for your sake that you realize that you are not even in the same ballpark of knife usage and cutting requirements that I have as opposed to your borderline letter opener needs.
your requirements are abnormal though, they are based on two scenarios that will never happen to most people; one is needing a pocket knife to be able to support lynn thompsons weight attached to the handle and the other is a hollywood fantasy scenario where you suddenly find yourself in the wilderness with only a pocket knife to survive. even in the winlderness survival fantasy scenario there are better choices like the swiss army knife that macgyver used to build all kinds of traps and devices or even rambos knife from first blood, hell even the supporting actor in cliffhanger used a spyderco endura

Not by me. I stand by my original statement. I have qualified the statement by admitting that a Kabar BK2 and a Fallkniven A1 are better survival knives than the Cold Steel AD10 because they are fixed blades designed for the specific purpose of being a survival knife. However, with that being said, I am more than comfortable with my Cold Steel AD10 by my side under the harshest of conditions and in the most difficult of situations.

Hell, it makes me sleep better knowing my old friend, the Cold Steel AD10, is by my side at night. I sleep better knowing he's around. Like they said, Cold Steel----anytime, anywhere.
The most fun part about this thread is watching the goalposts move from page 1 to page 11. Maybe the Cold Steel AD-10 is the best at digging up goalposts!

I understand, it's disappointing finding out you're wrong, and the cold steel ad10 is not the best knife.

Take a look at the knife exchange?
Your opinion means absolutely nothing to me. You have no evidence to support your conclusions which you state as fact but give no evidence to support your conclusions. You are defeated.

The fact the thick titanium scales and beefier hardware made for a stronger ad10? You don't believe it? Darn.

Our lifestyles are not in the same ballpark. Please enjoy your letter openers, CRKT hissatsus and Cold Steel Lite. I've got no problem with your edc needs. I think that's great for YOU----but they are vastly inferior to my needs. Let's just leave at that.

So your thread title should say "the cold steel ad10 is the best knife money can buy for my needs" right?

And your thread should be entitled the custom knives I love that collect dust in my drawer because I'll never use them for anything that might mess them up. 🤣

But, then again, what do you care? You presumably like knives and I like knives---the similarities between us end right there. Why? Because you're just a collector, and I'm a user, and the difference couldn't be greater in that regard. That ends the comparison regarding knife needs and experiences between the two of us right there.

And there's nothing wrong with that, but perhaps you should spend more time talking about something that you do actually have some knowledge about, and not something you don't, and that's why you don't want to go barking up my tree ever again.

Do you own an SR1? This thread actually made me dig up my old Recon 1, and even tho it’s plenty strong for what I’d use it for, if I ever did buy another Cold Steel it would be the SR1. Just because it seems ridiculous. .17 blade stock, 7.2oz
