The CRK Anticipation Thread - Show Your 'Inbound's!

Lol. Thanks for clarifying that LW. I see the similar elements on the Ladder with your confirmed Cook piece. Very nice! :D

Another thing that you can't see is that they're the same color. When I sent this one to CRK, Lisa was able to revive the original color enough to know what it is supposed to be. The thin, parallel, straight lines is a design element that he seemed to favor. I've seen a couple that were his, and they all had that. He also used red much more than Chris and later, Lisa.

You mean your UG has the same color with my UG on the Ladder Damascus? You should have taken a photo when it was restored... that would have looked really nice...

I will. It's sitting here with it's brethren, hidden from a certain critter.....

Here's the 2 UG's together. As a plus, these were both made on my most favorite year.. 1999 :D

Thanks Santana!!!

Very nice pair:thumbup:

Something tells me you snatched up an ivory mnandi at a very, very good price. Don't feel too bad if so, you should make money on that one.

If you mean that whitey that went for 5 Franklins, unfortunately I did not. But I do have an Inbound that fits my collection even better. ;)

I couldn't get the lighting to show both the red and the blue going across, but you can see the red in this pic. You just don't see this very often...

195? ORLY! I have no idea where you found a BG42 Mnandi, but that is super cool!

Not only that, it's a lefty. I already have #61, it's right-handed counterpart. Another lefty-righty pair coming up. Although I'm probably going to sell off my Walnut righty-lefty old nick pair because of this.

Justin, I don't know if you saw this in my Collection thread, I also have an even more rare Mnandi, #2 out of 25 Redwood Burls made at the same time as the beginning of this run of 200 Ziricotes.

Oh wow! No I did not see that. Your collection just took it up a level in my books. With so many areas of interest, you do a great job.

I'll be honest, both of those rightys got dumped in my lap at prices I couldn't refuse. That #2 of 25 popped on the Exchange here a few years back at a price that was good but fair then, it wouldn't last 30 seconds now. The #61 came as part of that box of 10, but was a bit overshadowed by some of the more colorful ones.

If you haven't seen the rest of my collection, here's a thread I still have in progress. Next series will be my Mammoths, then my CGG's, then the Main Event (UG's)

Out of all the ones I ever let go, this is the one I miss the most....!!! I did get the gold coin, mosaic sebenza, MOP Sebenza, oriental Sebenza, 2 kathathu's, and flat grind regular from the same guy. So I got some keepers. But still miss this one.

I almost let myself get talked out of it once myself. Now that I know it's history and can see it's color, I'm glad I held out.

But I'd sure love to cherry-pick what you got!!!!

Oh I know we would drewl over each others collections, that's for sure. I do know if I could have that special Sebenza in anyone's collection, it would be yours as I know you truely appreciate it and what it represents.
