The Dark Side...

Where do you put the powder and ball in that one Bruce?

Great looking Chute, I read on another forum that you were going to be making one of these and I'm glad you let us have a look.

Take care

Charles

CHARLES --- Did you forget that I owe you an engraving job in trade for your hunter ? You know how to reach me, Ken

I almost fell out of my chair.

Is that mark is photoshopped on? ;)

Nice looking piece. :)

Nope, no photochop. This is my ugly hand for proof.:D
Thanks Kevin.

the juxtaposition of that beautiful knife and your ugly hand is almost art in itself!:D;)

Bruce, if they're gonna take away my MS, you'll be stoned (and not the kind that's fun!). Cool knife.

Matt, I'm using a cream that's supposed to help.

OK guys, here are the "Dark Side" knives as they've come to be known. I'm a little new to the whole Kydex thing - I'm rather a leather sheath guy. But after making a few and carrying one for the last week, I don't hate it. So here is what I'm gonna have available:

Here's the two sizes, first in damascus...

...and in laminated steel.

I don't know if I'm supposed to talk about pricing info here as this isn't really a "for sale" forum, so anyone interested can contact me.

Thanks for lookin!

Those laminated blades are killa, as the young pups say. You have a winner on your hands Burt. Kevin

It sits between tactical and practical as well as probably affordable.
Plus if you are like me I like the look of steel.

These are growing on me. Especially because of the variations. Smart work, Burt. Cool!

The mailman came today bearing the small laminated Dark Side blade and a little leatherwork. It's a really nice package that Burt is putting out. There's even a wax seal now on the envelope with the Bill of Sale and his catalog. Classy.

As for the knife, if fits my hand great (three fingers and a nice thumb indent). Sharp. Really sharp. The laminating is very centered throughout the knife and handle and I do love the laminates. I still use Burt's laminated kitchen knife every day in the kitchen and love watching the patina change over time.

Bravo, Burt. Nice design, nice execution and good for you for making a blade that we can afford and use rather than lock away.

Count me in for the damascus version. Mr. Foster makes a really wicked knives. I own one of his blue collar knives (a little modofication for my own taste : 52100 steel, creamy white bone handle), and I plan on getting more of his knives. Excellent creaftmanship, Sir.

My laminate arrived yesterday and I have to say that this little knife is just too freakin' cool. May have to grab a damascus one as well.
