I just hope that he will end up spending every single $ he owns to pay for his ad campaign and not sell a single Dork Ops knife.

A German knife magazine (MESSERMAGAZIN) actually ridiculed Dork Ops Knives in the editorial of their latest issue. Many people from Germany, Austria and Switzerland read that magazine. At the largest European knife forum (www.messerforum.net) this "company" was treated in a manner that closely resembles the way Dork Ops is being discussed over here.
Germany is the biggest knife market in Europe.

I'm sure that it will eventually turn out to be a disaster and I think that's too funny.
 
It will be interesting to see what comes out of this whole thing.

Watch....the knives turn out to be the hottest thing on the market :D

Some of you may be well advised to go over there and register in your BF name before LoneWanker takes it. He's already grabbed a few - not that anybody would be fooled by his garbage anyway...
 
I just registered over there under the same name. Holy crap, what are they insane? Haven't they got a clue, they are being made fools of. Oh well. :D

yea i read that too. i tore out the page to 'save it for later' :D , along with a full-page ad from Blade mag. this is the kind of stuff every serious knife enthusiast should collect :p
 
Why would D.O. begin a forum before there's even a buyable product? What are they thinking?

I signed up just to see the posts. It's chaos and a complete waste of time. An endless string of childish/vulgar posts, with the serious questions being deleted or ignored by anyone who knows anything.

Somebody has my username over there posting some distasteful stuff.

Somehow I don't think it was LoneWolf. I've never done ANYTHING to him. I don't think I've ever even talked to him on the forum - I stayed out of it.

I posted a warning in GB&U about my stolen user name before I found THIS thread.

By the way, I'm registered on DO as fulloflead_FIRST to reply to (ahem) fulloflead's only post. I don't plan on participating on that forum beyond that.

I'm going to email the moderators and ask for whoever took my username to have it changed or be banned or SOMETHING. I'll let you know how it goes. -Jim
 
That whole thing that is going on over there is really pathetic. It has become the Lone Wolf and his many personalities show and everyone else is just feeding the troll. He's having a great time.

I just had another quick look in there. What a joke. I would suggest that the best plan is to simply ignore the whole pathetic forum. Let lone wanker keep it to himself and all his idiot creations.

What surprises me a little is that the owners of the forum have allowed it to be turned into a place for swapping childish insults. It's obvious they don't care about honesty or social responsibility and all they're after is money but having something like that forum associated with their product, (whenever that turns up), can't be good advertising unless they really are aiming their marketing at retarded 12 year olds.

On of the problems, as I see it, is that it is really hard to find the serious questions amongst all the BS.

Unfortunately, I don't think any of the American magazines have the spine to do that when DO is dropping a huge pile on premium-placement, full-page ads.
 
Gotta admit I got caught up in the feeding frenzy last night and went over there and posted some nonsense. Thought about it in the clear light of morning and edited/deleted my post. I feel better now that I have disassociated myself with the thing. I want no part of it.
 
I finally went on their site & tried to go onto the forums & it says it is under maintenance.
Guess they finally got tired of all the gripe. :confused:
 
they are probably not going to sell in EU because ER is already there.
