dave308ek dave308ek Astonishing examples, not seen or heard of a Casein one for years- memory lane! Always liked the Raisin Jigged Bone 62s....

This thread is the most interesting and rewarding one currently on the Forum, great move waynorth waynorth Charlie

These 'Founding Fathers' knives of GEC are a vital reference point.
A nice compliment, Will, thanks!! It is, so far, an enlightening and enjoyable thread!! I love delving into this history!! I've seen so much I've forgotten or never remember seeing!!!
Memory Lane indeed!!!

Thanks Will, An astonishing compliment coming from someone with so many great old GEC examples that you have shown over the years and in this thread!!! 😁:cool: I always appreciate them! I love 73's and when I saw the Casein on the exchange I couldn't hold back. The only other example I've seen is was the beautiful one that black mamba black mamba owns. As to the Raisin Jig 62, I loved the propeller shield on the 2011 blade forum 85 but knew I would never own one (even though this one is different, it's still a propeller, lol), glad I got the 62, turns out I really like single spring 2 blade opposite end knives.
Charlie hit another home run with this thread!
I completely agree and also tip my hat to Charlie and other great contributors to this thread.
Thanks E Enactive !!! Much appreciated and I tip my hat to Charlie and the other great contributors to this thread also because I couldn't have said it better. 😁
As we have already seen by previous posts - 2011 was a good year for the #33. My only two in stainless. Plaza Cutlery SFO Dog Paw was well done.

Nice stainless 33's, simply beautiful. I still kick myself for not getting a Plaza Cutlery SFO Dog Paw.
The elusive Raisin Jigged Bone 62. Don't think GEC ever did that particular color again. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for the interest and comments Tim! I believe you are correct, haven't seen that color since 2011.

Just turning the page for an interesting story!! 🤣
