The Flea Market Mung Absolution Thread

That dude sure was good for Fiddleback sales this morning! Heck, I'm in for 4 reclaimed Fiddleback in just one day! :) Made my day so great, I just might have to sit down with my pet rock and have a glass of George Stagg!

I need more money... The flea market is going to get me in trouble if things don't simmer down. Anybody got a spare room? We need to buy some international plane tickets soon, and I think the Frau will evict me if my resolve weakens.

Oh man, Phil. Dat asp.

Want to Trade:

I am interested in buying or trading for and old school scandi Arete or KE Bushie with heavy 3-D spalting. A thicker synthetic handle is preferred, but nice wood is OK too. Other models that meet this general description may be a possibility.

I have three knives pictured below for trade options. Let me know what you have and what you want. Let's talk.

2014 0228 021 – Big Sneaky, Model Standard Knife, Ruby Burlap from Shadetree on black g10 with a white g10 pinstripe, Trinity Pinout, Tapered Tang, Convex on 5/32” thick 3D Spalted 01 steel
2014 0411 07 – Bushcrafter, Red burlap from Shadetree over black g10 with a white pinstripe, trinity pinout, tapered tang, convex on 5/32” spalted 01 steel, great workhorse of a knife
2014 1010 13 – ASP with Cloud Magma & Black Ash burl over black g10 with white pinstripes, SFT Tang, convex on 1/8” spalted 01 steel

Thanks,

Phil

'tis been said before, will be said again -- the flea market is GOING OFF right now. Just 'saying :D

The seller had mentioned there were only 3 or 4 Palmers and how rare they were, and Andy would not be making any more... That's why I posted what I did.

Will, we all know that you probably have the other three Palmers in your shoe box already :p, so you don't need another one.

You are off to a good start in 2015 with all your scores from the Flea Market, Dealers, and Fiddleback Friday late movers. I am happy for you my friend.

LOL... I have one of the original Palmers I bought off eBay for little to nothing several year ago, but... I lost it! I am honestly afraid my wife mistakenly sent it to her women's club charity flea market! LMAO...

I am pretty new to fiddlebacks and since the first week in January, Andy has made 3 lol!...
I know it is a uncommon model, but function wise, is it a pretty handy knife?

I saw that Will. I liked your post. I couldn't believe it was sold by the next morning.

So tell, which one did you lose/donate to charity?

Well, It had darker brown maple scales and copper pins! No, this is not a dream... copper pins! :(

Enjoying a nice snow day and decided to peruse flea bay for a spell -- did anyone get a load of the $500 sft used recluse with the "interesting" DIY sharpening job done on it?! I guess to each their own. :D
