The Flea Market Mung Absolution Thread

I agree Grizz. I would have taken that knife in a second.
Sorry for the suspense on the Flea Market. I'm the guilty one.

I'm kicking myself for not pulling the trigger on it when I had the chance. I hesitated because I'm two Fiddlebacks deeper than my current affordability & haven't sold anything yet... I thinking this is one I'll regret for awhile :grumpy:
I hear ya. I got burned couple of times myself. It's always the one you could of have hurts a little more. LOL....

What Bill said... no apologies necessary brother & congrats on the new blade. The only thing is that now it's your responsibility to enjoy it and put that beauty to use!!!

This is a message to the Registered User who sent me a visitor message about a non-specific trade deal. Unfortunately, I don't use my personal email to conduct knife business with people I don't know.

If you invest the thirty bucks to upgrade your membership to gold, send me a regular PM that I can reply to and I'll listen to what you have to say.

Thanks,

Phil

It is interesting, the ebb and flow of the flea market. No postings for 24 hours, then a knife can get listed and sold in under one minute.

Can't wait to see the flea market in June- People trying to sell their blades to fund or recoup from overspending at Blade. It's always a good time to pick up nice quality pieces for an excellent price.

Thanks Duder. I will put that little tip in the ole memory banks. Wait, what was that again?
Some of the knives from sneak peeks or instagram that are set aside for Blade - there are several grails in the mix for sure.
Which prolly means there will be several beauties released back into the waters.

I like oreo burlap for looks the best, if it will not be a user.
I could see the white fibers getting stained.
The bluejean burlap would look much better over time, I think.
I haven't used or washed the bluejean yet, it comes smooth and shiney from the forge.
The burlap is probably the best grip as the fibers get raised with use and washing.

Close second for grip, sandblasted (micarta?)
I had a sandblaste tuxedo that felt awesome.

Thanks Crewbot for grabbing that gaucho! You have saved me from trouble with the Mrs. Can't believe it lasted that long.

I am glad the camp knife went in the first few minutes yesterday. I would love to have one, but really can't justify it. Maybe the production model will do... Anyway, that camp knife yesterday was perfect, in my opinion. The spaulting was epic. The bolstered green handle was exactly what I would order if such a thing were possible. If it had sat for hours like some camps have done in past weeks, I don't know what I would have done!

Look at it. Leave. Check again in 15-20 minutes. Look at it. Leave. Check again in 15-20 minutes. Think you'll buy it if its still there in an hour and then curse and complain when its gone the next time you look. That's usually how I do it.
