The Flea Market Mung Absolution Thread

I just picked up the Recluse from rcartmell3 on the Flea Market. A CPM154 recluse!! I am surprised it was still there. I kept waiting for somebody to grab it but there it still was today seducing me. I might have a new favorite whitetail knife.

That's a great score. I just couldn't swing it or I would have jumped on it. Congrats!

I gotta honestly say I'm pretty surprised the Woodchuck hasn't sold yet. It's basically getting the knife for base price for its specs, plus a $75 RLO sheath custom built for it for free, and I eat all the fees, shipping and insurance. I guess everyone's still hung over from Blade. :)

Flea market has been slow lately, it seems. I'm no economist, but I wonder at the confluence of forces that lead to that being so. All I know right now is the bank and Frau say no, and I don't want a divorce. [emoji33] [emoji6]

Market saturation maybe? I remember a lot of complaining from people last year how they couldnt score a knife on FBF with the weekly sell outs. Now weekly production has increased roughly 30% from this time last year along with introduction of the mid tech production models. Simple economics; easier availability = a lower resale value on the used market.

I didn't want to mung up the sales thread so here is the bow legged joe

The handle on the 3finger is longer but I'm unsure the exact specs..

The mini muk is approx 3.5" blade and 4"handle
Those are the specs for the bear cub in the "group" shot from the sales thread.. They appear to be almost exactly the same size in the photo

Great. Thanks a ton Vance. Been wanting that blade design for a while now, handle length isn't as important. My apologies for the mung. Trying to make up my mind on that mini muk.

Yeah. The Nessmuk design is one of my favorites but it's a big knife. The mini seems like an ideal size and blade design. If it's up there much longer I might have to snatch it. I haven't had the opportunity to check out a Jr yet but it's on my short list. Thanks again.

Hey mate, sorry for stepping on your toes with the Minimuk, rushed in from work and didn't expect to see it sitting there. I kinda want to give this one a try but if for some reason it doesn't want to keep me, I'll let you know.

Ha. Figures. I type too slow. Always next week.

Absolutely no worries man. It's the way of the sharks. He who hesitates is lost. Ha. I can't imagine that beauty not agreeing with ya but if it doesn't I'll definitely appreciate the heads up.

I can't believe a burlap Camp Nessie is sitting there this cheap.

Base price on a Camp Nessie is $300. Burlap adds $40. tapered tang adds another $40.

That one is a steal!
