The Hinderer Anticipation Thread - What Are YOU Waiting for?

Wishing for a decent production run on 3" XM-18 flippers so I can finally acquire one.

Get yourself a ZT 0560/0561 clip and a set of longer screws...play around with it and see if you can attach the ZT clip atop the filler tab. It's just an idea...I have no way of knowing if it can / will work.

I remember seeing a picture of someone's on the Kershaw sub forum a while back with a ZT 056x deep clip on a XM-18. I am positive it would work. I will look for the post/picture and copy it here. I can't remember if it was attached to a filler tab or not, but I'll find out if it helps.

Eh, can't find the exact post but if you search "zt0560 clip on XM-18" online, you'll find a couple pics.

So my goodies came in the mail today, and I wasted no time in throwing my copper standoffs into my orange scale 3.5" Spanto. I think they look pretty cool. I wish Rick sold scale and pivot screws in copper. I understand the pivot needing to be in Titanium but the scale screws would be nice. I don't really wanna go with the bronze anodized ones. Anyone have any ideas?

Well, I just posted an "I'll take it" on a wharncliffe xm18. Hopefully I'll soon be the proud owner of my first real Hinderer!

Thanks guys! After getting a couple hours of sleep & rereading that post, I noticed it might sound a little weird, or not how it was meant. I've got a ZT0560, but this'll be my first true Hinderer! I realized some who don't know me well might construe that last post as I might own a fake, but that ain't in my character & just wanted to clarify!

Along a somewhat similar info. seek...while learning more about Rolex items I'm liking... I discovered there is a online community that rallies around and shares common interests on "fake" items. Never really thought that type of support network existed, but it does. Good thing is, there's enough info. from their perspective to give insight into spotting fake timepieces.

For those into deep pocket clips...it's no XM, but doesn't the new ZT 0562 sport one?

ETA: it does.

I gave away all my Cryos so maybe I'll be adding a new (smaller than 0560/0561) ZT to the fold.

I'm waiting for my first Spanto that should ship tomorrow.
I know most started with a Spanto and then maybe went to Slicer grinds, but I did the reverse.

You'll love the spanto. It is the iconic grind from Rick! It just has its own look to it that has to be seen in person to understand.

Congrats

Thanks fellas! In the last year or so, I've noticed a LOT of those "fakes are ok" threads pop up, and that ain't me. I know how those posts make me feel, & I don't want anybody to mistakenly feel that way about me! Sorry for the off topic! Back to the anticipation!

A word on fake watches. I wanted a Submariner my whole life and got sucked into that whole fake watch forum. Bought a dozen different watches from China... Best they could make, swiss ETA insides etc. Vintage Rolex mostly, some current models. Ended up selling them all.... They all eventually stop or fail. Bought the real Sub finally for my 49th birthday. Well worth it.... Totally different level. You can't fake greatness and the Chinese copycat stuff is ALL junk. Assuming the knives are the same.

That's no assumption.^^

And I'm not one to waste money buying lesser quality anything over and over again...it's actually less expensive to buy one quality this/that that lasts a lifetime than to buy several items that need more / constant replacement. Not all factors of expense are in the price tag....reducing headaches of item failure is priceless.
