The Hinderer Anticipation Thread - What Are YOU Waiting for?

I had a wait like that a few years ago when I ordered a knife from Italy. I pretty much gave up on ever seeing it then one day it was in my mailbox. It was shocked to see it! I couldn't imagine having that feeling when it is a hinderer that's being held up. God bless you buddy. It will be well worth the wait! Enjoy!

Holy crap Humble! My head would explode if I had to wait a month, especially if it was due to govt buffoonery..

I just received an XM from Canada that took, no-kidding, TWO days to get to me. Shipped from Toronto last Thursday and in my hands in Anchorage on Sat.. It was sent via Express Mail, but still..

Hope you see it soon!

On the other hand, I had another - one that I am very eagerly anticipating - arrive yesterday while I was at work so now it'll be tomorrow before I can get my hands on it... Not nearly the same thing as a month in customs but still driving me nuts. Did I mention that patience is not one of my strengths? ;)

Just checked the tracking #, my Wharnie will be here tomorrow!! My Hinderer tool and bronze standoffs from Rick will also be here tomorrow!!!! Man I can't wait!!!!!
I hope Rick gets some more anodized pivot screws and anodized scale screws in soon!!!

I'm not sure, got it in within the past month. I love the thing! Sandblasted and SW blade. I love this little guy! It's got a BB clip on it in the photo though. I used to use that extra clip I got on my previous Sandblasted XM-18 for when I'm carrying it. The SB clip scratches so easily and throwing this BB clip on it makes it a little easier! Plus the contrast between the other non-blasted hardware on the XM looks pretty neat IMO.

Having a large Insingo, I totally agree. I'll rotate knives in & out of my safe ever so often. When my xm wharnie came in the mail, I put all my loose folders in the safe except it & my Insingo. This past Thursday, I went ahead & put up the Insingo. Not bashing, but same steel, no flipper, & much lower rc. The xm won't be leaving my pocket any time soon! You'll love it!
Nice!! Yes I prefer Rick's heat treatment too!! And this will be my first flipper!!!!! Ever!! I'm so excited!!

Just got my Wharnie in!!!!! I already put the bronze standoffs and bronze lock bar stabilizer on. Unfortunately my Od green scale hasn't arrived yet. Ill definitely post up some pics tonight. This knife is freakin sharp!!!!!!

^ awesome! Congrats. That's a hell of a knife. Lets see some pics mister!!! Those bronze lock bar stabilizers are sweet arent they? I have a couple myself and they add that nice little splash to the lock side.

Sweet, just in time for Wharnie Wed, congrats!!

Looking forward to your pics!

Wharnie Wednesday! I like that. It means frag Friday is fast approaching. Gonna have to bust out the frag 24 for a pic. Cool.

It's here! After all the hype and all the wait, I wasn't sure how I'd feel once I had it in my hand. I was prepared to be disappointed, because you just never know how a knife will hit you until you hold it. But let me tell you, I love the damn thing, and it usually takes me a while to fall in love with a knife. Two amazing customs also arrived today, but the Hinderer is the one that I can't get out of my pocket/hand. I can't even fully articulate what it is about it, it just clicks. I can't flip it without wrist though. I'll take it down and lube the pivot and hopefully that will help.

Now to search for scales and anodized standoffs. Although I do like the dark earth more than I thought I would. Wouldn't mind having some options though. If anyone knows where I might find some anodized standoffs for a 3", I'd really appreciate a PM. They seem to be much harder to find than the 3.5".

Here are some pics from a little walk I took with the XM today. More pics here and here.

Congrats HR! That's a beauty. Be careful they are addicting as hell.

Nice Shane! Can't wait to see what you've got in store on Friday.
