The Hinderer Anticipation Thread - What Are YOU Waiting for?

Thanks guys!! I'm excited!!

Bowman the steel flame clips are a great addition. You'll be looking good in no time :D

I'm waitin' on June for some birthday money! Daddy want's him a crusader cross clip!
I have a silver on one and a bronze on a other. A horse head clip is on the third.
A quality number 1 Phillips screw driver made changing them out easy
on mine.

I haven't even received my Xm-18 Wharncliffe yet, and I already ordered bronze standoffs and an Od green G10 scale. :)

Yeah I had a 3" flipper awhile back, but had to sell it for some extra cash due to an unexpected cervical fusion surgery. Feels good to finally be able to get another Xm-18 :)

Thanks! I've got a Hinderer "parts list" on my phone with pricing for each! LOL I wear a Crusader cross around my neck every day, so one on my knife is a must! I was all about the .45acp lbs, until I actually got my xm, then I realized it'd be hell to get out the pocket with the clip any tighter, so I'll have to settle for bronze ti, and those skull filler tabs all ya'll have are great too! I'll eventually get one of 'em too. Wish the ranch would come out with a cross filler tab though! I'm patient, but broke, so it'll be a while before my xm is finished.

I sold my Hinderer about a year and a half ago to pay for some things (actually you bought it LW!)
I just snagged a 3.5 wharncliff flipper from BF and I'm waiting very anxiously for its arrival!!!

Congrats! I've been carryin' my wharny for about 3 weeks & love it!!!

The wharnie is one wicked looking blade!! Rick did a great job on his version of the wharnie for sure!!! Now the sleepless nights awaiting....

Thanks! I know I will love it. Have always wanted to try that kind of blade since I saw the "insingo" blade from CRK....

Having a large Insingo, I totally agree. I'll rotate knives in & out of my safe ever so often. When my xm wharnie came in the mail, I put all my loose folders in the safe except it & my Insingo. This past Thursday, I went ahead & put up the Insingo. Not bashing, but same steel, no flipper, & much lower rc. The xm won't be leaving my pocket any time soon! You'll love it!

I'm sure you all know the agony of anticipation, so please share my pain with me. I posted here over a month ago that I was waiting for my first Hinderer, a 3" slicer flipper. Well guess what? It's still not here. It was coming from Germany and spent a full month in NYC in customs. No one could put an eyeball on it for me. USPS knew nothing about it because it was in customs, and customs wouldn't even take my call. They have a pre-recorded message that says they can't locate individual packages. I had given up on it for lost but decided to check the tracking yet again this morning and was in disbelief when the latest location was New Jersey. It's released from customs and on its way to me again! I've never experienced anywhere near that sort of delay in customs. I was sure I'd never see it. So what do you guys think? Will it be worth the wait?

My 3" slicer was WELL worth the wait. Long story short, I found a 3" slicer flipper, couldn't afford it, tried to sell a XM of mine and couldn't, so traded it for a wharnie, kinda sorta liked it, then offered to just trade straight across for the 3" and he was ok with it. Long month for me!

I couldn't imagine what you went through. I don't think I could see order a XM from overseas, but I'm glad it's finally on its way to you man! That's great news

EDIT: I just clicked where you posted about your inbound, and saw that I posted right after you as well about my potential 3" :)

Thanks man. I've flirted with the idea of a Hinderer for years so what's another month right? Yeah, I don't think I'll ever buy a knife from Europe again since the packages come through NYC customs which seems to be a big clusterf***. I've had plenty of stuff come from Canada through Chicago and from Asia through California with no issues or delay. Definitely excited to get the XM in my hand finally. I'll post pics when it arrives.

Glad you're in good spirits man! You've picked a great first Hinderer. Looking forward to pics man.

Wow! What a wait my friend!!! Glad it is finally on its way to you. That beats any kind of anticipation I've ever had to deal with. Hope to see pics soon :D
