Had some issues I had to deal with, but finally was able to pay for the knife today. I'm in no hurry to get it.

I fell a little behind on the thread, but has anyone discussed sheath options yet? How does everyone plan on carrying it?

I have Not^^^still in the holding pattern for Satin HOGB8.

Pics or it didn't happen:thumbsup:

hmm that knife doesnt fit in the lansky or dmt aligner guide hahah

i will try to see if i can find alternative, longer, screw ;-)

if not, i guess it will be time to really learn free hand sharpening! (in a way i hope not...)

Thanks for bringing this up. I plan on buying a guided sharpening device soon and didnt think of this chunk of steel not fitting in it. I'll have to research the max size in the models I'm interested in...

Wow, that BIG/DC finish turned out super nice—really like that!!!:thumbsup::thumbsup:

Does it look as good in person?:D

Thanks for the great pics, Apocalyps!:cool:

Yes BIG DC is really nice. Satin finished is not as prone to scratches and not as coarse as coated blades, actually after stonewashed the perfect blade surface. I like it a lot and it looks really good in nature and does not shine so much in the field.

Nice one! BigDC - This thing is a log splitter! super stoked! Long time coming - I dedicate this to Will, he spent some time chatting to get me with the program and glad I did. I dig the handle a lot. My ashhole stump is still hard as rock and some swings on it shows the res really takes out the harmonics- couldn't make this hunk of Infi sing, but nice weight out on the blade where it will work. Nice piece! What it won't chop you can use it for a hammer!
FYI- The finish is flawless, the blotchy appearance is oil, just noticed that shows up, wanted to be clear about that for the discerning eye. It went from the box to the stump :D
