Which style for the satin HOGB8?

Thanks my good sir, I really like it. It's cool to look at and realize, this has a lot going on to make it an attractive and functional blade. This is my first full flat grind too. Compound tapers working to the point. At the edge of the handle to the flat grind mic's .352 then out to .347 along the spine to where the long clip starts and tapers to the point. I like how the blade drops from the handle angle putting the point inline with the CL of the handle mass, within your grip. Stabbing/piercing it seems would put the force in alignment with the point .

I haven’t been able to discern any of the typical BIG grinding/scoring marks under the DC finish in your or Apocalyps’ photos. I could see a little of that on the blade flat in the photo offered in the release thread, but these delivered knives seem even cleaner—more like the original BBDC finish.

Any comments from those of you who have received these—are they really that clean?:thumbsup:

It's flawless! This could be polished out and I think it could go to full blown satin. I can see some very small machine marks in my DC Park Ranger, but not this one. So would it be like a CF that's bead blasted? Nope, not in the same time zone in that reference, at least not what's in my hand. I honestly didn't look that hard till I read this, nothing there.
 
None of that fancy satin stuff for me on these Heavy Stump Bustin' Beasts.:p;):D

I've got three on the way... two painted porkers & one bead blasted beauty that's askin' an'a beggin' for a Whoopin'!!!:thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup:

Should have 'em by Friday (Good thing I started vacation this morning... I'll be here doing honey-do's for the next 7 days, so I should be able to sign for 'em when they show up!!!):cool:
 
Any one able to compare this one to a 1311 for chopping power? I am convinced I want to buy a 1311 next time someone posts one for sale. Although getting a hold of a Hog B8 sure would be epic.
