THE Hollow Handle Knife Thread

Not my picture, but a nice shot taken at the Navy SEALs museum in Florida. Try to spot the one knife that keeps this photo on-topic for this thread:

Cool pic, bowie. Gotta love the Buckmaster!!! I want to show off my new creation though! The S.A.F.E. System- Survival Adventure Field and Exploration

Here are a few pics, and a detailed explanation of it here: http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php/1178378-Wilson-Custom-Knives-S-A-F-E-System

Great looking knife, Sam. Any chance you have a pic of it in hand so we can get a good perspective on the size of the knife?

There is nothing I don't love about this knife Sam, great work as usual my friend.

Thank you, Nitro. I am slowly getting closer to yours :D. Let me just say, there is a ton of work designing and making a new knife, and it can gobble up time and materials like nobody's business. Also, the thread on the S.A.F.E. System was merged with the one in Customs, so it resides HERE now. And what the hey, might as well throw in another pic while I'm at it.

Beware of yet another knife maker thief on ebay named rdw knives. His name is ryn weilke. And he makes knives just like the gil hibben handmade designs and then sells them on ebay, claiming that they are his original knife designs. He never even acknowledges gil hibben as the original designer.

Ryn ordered the rescue knife awhile back from gil. Gil made the knife and sold to ryn. A few months later, he posted his made rescue knife, identical to gil's, and listed it for sale as his original design.

And now, this lying fake cheating pirate is doing the same thing to andrew clifford. But with andy, the guys goes one step further with his lying by claiming that andy had stolen his knife designs. I know this to be a balant lie because my first knife andy made for me was the one i asked him to make special, to honor my dad's memory. My dad passed away in 2010. After other knife makers turned me down, some of them being rude about it, i searched out andrew clifford. Andy accepted my idea request and, based on what i told him about my dad and who he was, which was a us army special forces korea and vietnam veteran and tough as nails...and searched all his padt knife designs and found the ideal one...his original full round tang knife design. Andbin a few months, the kn7fe was finished.

Now, i went to ebay yesterday and was shocked when i saw that this rdw knives has now copied the same andrew clifford original knife design, and now has made one just almost identical to the one andy had made for me in honor of my dad!! I contacted andy immediatel, who said he was already aware of it. He said his phone had been ringing off the hook about it and his email has been flooded by people letting him know. And if this wasnt enough of a pathetic slap in the face to andy by rdw knives...this mess went further even, when i learned that rdw knives aka ryn weilke, has been falsely accusing andy of stealing his knife designs. Its enough to make one sick, and is just plain thievery!!

To me, theres nothing worse in the knife world than a fake knifevmaker who cannot even design just some of the knives he makes, and instead, steals other knife makers' designs and then lies about it!!! Freaking lowlife if you ask me!!

Yes sirs, this ryn weilke aka rdw knives needs to be laughed, mocked, and ran right out of the kn7fe world for his thieving, lying antics!!! Thanks for reading!!!

Its good to see the hh love in this thread.
Some awesome blades too.
I have a few,i must post pics sometime.

HH knives always have a place in my heart. I watch one of the Rambo movies at least every other month(no kidding... that, Bloodsport and The 13th Warrior).

Of course, I had the cheap versions that fell apart... but my first "real" hollow handle knife was a Chris Reeve "Sable". I still love the overall profile of that knife. I ended up buying an "Aviator" shortly after and gave it to a friend a few years back.

Rick my Mountain II is still my primary "go to knife"...I need a better sheath for it but it is my one knife, amongst some very expensive customs, that I tend to put on when I trek, hunt, or just carry a fixed knife. I wish CRK would start producing them again!

There is a sweet randall model 18 for a great price in the exchange if anybody is looking for one. If I had the money right now I'd buy it.
