Wish a Happy 25th Birthday to that special lady of yours JT ;)

My mother in law insists that women stop aging after that point and any subsequent birthdays will be celebrated as such.

Cheers

That looks odd to me....but that's probably because it's not akshully a werd inna inglish langwidge. Does i looks lyk setcha idjit dat ida fawl fo dat?

English is a living, vibrant language. "Normaller" weren't a word yestiddy, but it is now. 'Cuz I said so. You knew what I meant, and that's all that matters :D

 My dear sainted mother was 39-and-holding for a couple decades ;) As for me, I've been bouncing back-and-forth between 25 and 30 for... a while. I like to call it "25 with 19 years' experience." :p

Miss Angie is a keeper JT. Wish her a HB from us.

Will do! What a top-shelf champagne woman like her is doin' mixed up with a rail-whiskey rotgut moron like me, I'll never understand. But some things, a man just doesn't question.

Decided to spend the rest of my OT money on a glock 19. Waiting for my FFL buddy to get back to me with the price.

Just got my first property tax bill for the cabin. $39. Thieving bastids, haha. :D

You might also check for a store that only sells to LEO/military. We've got one in my area ("Just Glocks") that can sell them retail for a lower price than I can get wholesale (I have an FFL myself). They get a super low "program" price direct from Glock by just selling to LEO/mil. There is another store that has the same deal with S&W. I don't hesitate to send my potential customers to other places if they can get a better deal there.

Edit: BTW, the G19 is very nice...although I'm starting to like the Springfield XD's quite a bit...

My buddy is set up to do LEO/military and I qualify for an LEO gun because I work as an armed security officer for the guberment. I went to a shop in town and their price on a new gen 4 was $535, which is good, but I know my guy can get them cheaper.

Probably should have ordered reloading gear but I'm going to get my carry permit soon and 9mm is cheap enough that I can hold off a little while.

I figured you would get the LEO price from dealer who could offer it. Sounds like a very good plan. I think the G19 is a good size for concealed carry. You'll get some kaka from folks who don't believe anything that doesn't begin with ".4" should be used for self defense, but you probably already know that where the boolit hits is more important that how big around it is. Certainly bigger is better, but the statistics just don't show enough difference to make me sweat it.

Cool little blade. "Snub Nose Moose Knuckle", haha:

When I got the G17 a guy that knew more than me told me to get the G19 instead and I probably should have. Then again, if I had I might not ever bother with the 17 and I really like the 17 too. I've carried it a lot and the butt prints just barely but you can't tell it's a gun. A gun person might guess it was but it would just be a guess.

If you look at the 9mm vs .40 debate I think a lot of it comes from where people are getting real-world experience. Most .40 shootings are going to be from law enforcement using good HP's where as reports on 9mm is likely going to come from vets packing the Beretta M9 and ball ammo, at least that's my theory. I've read that a lot of instructors and industry experts are going to the 9mm because it offers less recoil and more capacity and is marginally less effective than the .40 and that's been my feelings since I got into pistols. There's not a huge difference with modern ammo so I go mainly for the 9mm or jump up to the .45acp.
