In other news. I think T.M.Hunt custom knives just "hired" its second apprentice. Lol, as you all know, my 10yr. Old boy is itching to learn the craft and how the tools work. Mom and I have been a little reluctant to turn him lose. I told him when the time was right, under strict supervision we would do some knife project together. Today, he came to me with a whole notebook full of his own knife designs he drew himself. Begging to be able to do a project himself. Granted, there from a 10yr. Old. But the imagination is there, and his willingness is overflowing. I cant hold him back anymore. I think very soon your gonna see some Jared Hunt knives. He also asked me when he gets older if I would hire him to work in his shop. Lol. Love that boy, look out Murph, he's after your job! :-)

That's awesome Todd! I cant wait to see what kind of stuff you guys make together! Learning the skills required for knife making and using all those machines will have him set!

Good on you Todd!

Well, I went out this morning and tried to eat some chicken, but let me tell you, they are much better when they are cooking indoors. :D

Must be National Global Warming Day. 60° right now....I'm going for a ride. Might even put my 24 in my jersey pocket. That thing is great so far.

I didn't even know they could cook....you know, lacking fingers and all....;)

Bad news good news. Bad news, I didn't get that job I was hoping for. Good news is, a well known company bought ours out, and as of January, things will be quite different, with an "attractive" package. Yup, raise, benefits, etc.

Cool beans.

I'm kicking around the idea of getting a new job myself. I like my job now but the depot is going to close sometime around 2020 so I don't want to buy a house or anything. But apartment living is not conducive to working on old trucks and whatnot. Thinking it might be time to find a permanent place with a shop. The actual house I can fix up over time so long as I at least have space to put up a shop.
