Hey WW, Dairy Queen's blizard of the month is Reeses PB cup. Think I might go grab me one and a couple flamethrower burgers.

Oh heck yeah! Last week I had a Sonic Blast (basically the same thing as a DQ Blizzard) with Reese's in it. It was lovely

One day i want to build a table top with LOTS of different types of exotic wood... Maybe engrave or wood burn the names of each on the edges or something. Would be BEAUTIFUL and a great conversation piece with like minded individuals.... Would also work for letting people look at to choose which wood handles they want on a knife.

Most of my stuff has G10 on it, for various reasons. But there will always be a special place in my heart for nice figured wood. :) My personal MaDuece is currently being fitted with a chunk of curly crotch walnut that just makes my head spin....

My hometown was built around the lumber trade. Some of the guys who first got filthy rich there built amazing houses chock-full of astounding woodwork, cabinetry, parquet flooring, inlays, carving etc, because the materials were essentially free to them and skilled labor was really cheap back then. Several of them are museums now. I'm sure in your neck of the woods there are plenty of cool museums like that, too. I don't even want to hazard a guess what it would cost today to build a home like that....

JT - I hear ya brother. Thanksgiving was a lot more fun when I was a kid. My wife asked me to help her "plan the menu". So I said - Uh I don't know. Turkey, stuffing and some kinda dessert. - Not only did she not appreciate my heartfelt contribution she was pretty upset with me. Jeez women! :D

:p One good thing about hosting Thanksgiving is, I'm "allowed" to splurge on a really nice bottle of bourbon for me and my father-in-law every year. If it wasn't for that, I think I would seriously consider telling everyone to go screw themselves, pop a TV dinner in the oven and just watch football by myself.... :D

I hear Coyle Outdoors has them on for a sale special right about now :D May want to act fast, I hear there are not very many left!

Um.........Yea.....I'm in on 7 cause I ain't a man who likes to be shaven.

Just wanted to give you Fellas a heads up that I started a list for people who want the BK-21 RBK when it comes out. Just email or pm me if you would like to get on it.

When we get more details like release date and price, I will send out preorders. Gonna ship out in the order you are on the list so don't wait till January to get get on it or you may have to wait till more are available.

I know in the past the new releases are sometimes limited and are only released in small numbers to different dealers. But hopefully this will not be the case and I can order everyones all at once. The BeckerHead's should get them them first right! The rest of the world can wait! lol :D

Maybe its old news but i just seen it..... Looks like this place is selling a few beckers with a type of machined stipple scales.

I have no intentions of ordering from them and i have never done business with them... Im only posting this to share the scales... Which i do think look kind of nice.

I've heard good things about them but I've never done business with them. Why did they shop in a Camillus sheath with a Ka-Bar knife?

I was wondering the same thing!

Well... Got all my little hex hawks ready for heat treat and boxed them up... Then decided id work on handles for my 2nd knife... Then realized i completely forgot to order a lanyard tube. That sucks.

Now i gotta hunt down a 1/4" lanyard tube before i can finish this one up. Was hoping to finish this while those are at HT. Hopefully i can find somewhere with a lanyard tube and quick shipping.

You are awesome bud!! I really appreciate it man.

I was looking at a place online and they were only .75¢ for brass tubes, which is what i wanted.... But the shipping was 9.95 for the SLOWEST option. I didnt want to go that route LOL

Turns out I had three of them....and some 5/32, and a couple 5/16 (BK&T sized) and.....a few other sizes, just to be on the safe side. Plus an array of sizes for pinstock as well.....I might have a little problem....

I was actually already talking to Dex when I posted that. I was hoping to snag a used one but if I cant I am ordering from him. Which will be my third on that order!

.75¢ for 1/4in. Brass lanyard tube is cheap. How big of a piece was it?

I wouldn't want to pay the 9 bucks shipping either though. Don't blame you there......... usually the lanyard tube is more expensive than the solid stock of the same size. Strange really, a lot less material for more cost. But the expense comes from it being more labor intensive to manufacture.

I have found 1/4 brass pin stock at just about all of the local hardware stores. I usually pay about $3. bucks for a 3ft. section. Then I turn the lanyard hole myself on my lathe. A little more time consuming but its a little cheaper in the long run and its here locally, I can just run to the store and get it. No shipping costs.

It says 1/4 X 1... Im guessing 1 foot but maybe 1 inch... I put 2 in my cart just in case it was 1 inch. But then i seen the cheapest "flat rate" shipping was 10 bucks and that was for the slow service so i was like... Uh, NO LOL

I was looking at a pretty common site, J_ _ _Z supply. I have ordered from them before but it was worth it to spend the 10 bucks on shipping that time. This time not so much.

Hmmmm... I could have some fun with a lathe.... :D

Oh, well if it come out of Jantz, then if it says "1" that indicates 1in. In that case. .75¢ is expensive. They usually indicate 1 ft. As "12in". The hardware store ive been buying my solid pin stock has hooked me with pretty good deals, of coarse the more I buy, the better the deal. I just bought about 20 ft. worth of it for about $18. bucks. Pretty good deal. But like I said, I have time into it turning the lanyard holes.

Im glad i didnt go that route if it was 1", that wouldnt leave any room for errors and would be damned expensive once shipping was calculated in it.

18 bucks for 20 feet of 1/4" is great. I think i paid 12 bucks for 10 foot of 1/8" brass stock when i ordered it.

Yeah, thats my point, be sure to check out your local hardware stores. Might have a hard time finding tubing, but the solid pin stock is carried a lot of times, and the value is a lot better than buying it from a knife supply store. All of that stuff is bought in bulk, then cut up and sold in smaller pieces for twice or more cost.

I only order from those places when I have no other choice.
