The Inkosi Appreciation Thread

So, should I cancel or change my glass blasted small PJ Inkosingo order from early 2022 (direct with CRK) to a large, since the only thing different vs this one is the glass blasted smooth instead of an inlay?

I'm pretty happy with my large S45VN Inkosingo PJ with sand blasted scales. So, maybe just cancel, since I have a Magnacut upgrade blade for the KnifeArt coming around late spring 2024...
primum non nocere

Sounds like cancellation might be in order...unless you're going to lie in bed second guessing yourself, in which case the answer is always "get all of them".

You're welcome.

Hippocratic oath eh?

Certainly don't want CRK to suffer from my order withdrawal. But they're going to blacklist me with the next change, as I've already switched it once when I acquired the small S31 Magnacut tanto at DLT last summer 2022, which I was initially ordering direct from CRK.

I'll try the lying in bed thing for a few days before I change it one last time, so nobody gets hurt of course - do no harm. Maybe large PJ glass blasted double lug and beaded lanyard? Or a large Damascus Sebenza 31...

current order = SIN-1126 / Small Inkosi Glass Blasted Inlay Micarta Canvas Natural Insingo (Silver Double Lugs) (Charcoal Lanyard with Standard Bead)

Big fan of the inkosi. Only had it for a few days now. Love the handle, so much better than the sebbie. Also like the thicker blade stock. Even the action is better. Do prefer the placement of the fob on the sebbie better but at least this one doesn’t rattle.

Not a fan of the crk thumb studs. Anyone have any recommendations on where to get some?

My Inkosi just arrived. I'd agree that it has a better action than the 31. It's smoother and easier to open than the 31 I've been breaking in for three weeks.

Should have bought one a long time ago.

Mine was the same. I had my large and small 31s for a little while before my large Inkosi arrived, but even new, the Inkosi was easier to open and still is.

Yuppers. I'll give it a couple of days to grind, then clean and oil it. Off to a good start.

To be fair, the 31 is getting pretty good and smooth now. I had to give in and tweak the lock bar to lessen the detent.

It's going to be fun to see where the Inkosi winds up.

I've been waiting to clean any of my CRKs. As long as they keep improving as they are, I will probably delay cleaning them until they plateau a bit. The cleaning then should take them to the next level.

Somebody school me.

What is the reason for the big-old-pivot on the Inkosi? I just cleaned and lubed mine and said, "Holy Crap" when I disassembled it. It's huge! I had assumed that it simply had big screw heads. Nope. The pivot matches.
