The keep the "design thread" uncluttered thread

me personally not a big fan of the Khukri, I had a few thru the years and well,I let them all go for one reason or another, Earlier BK&T khuri Reinhart ?, BK4 close enough and a few Khukri's themselves... for me not an everyday item or something I would pack on a camping trip, remote or car camping.... great chopping abilities and if Jeff/Mike/Shon and all invovled did do a RC version,I know I'd pick one up but it would be the less used RAT of the pack. IMO

Yea, no fan of kuk's here. They feel really wrong to me when chopping, never liked them. Now a recurve like the Becker Brute, I could get behind that.

Not a huge kukri fan here either. Too light to be an axe and too thick to be a machete. The only way I'd buy one would be if RAT or Condor made it.

We have actually thought about making the RC-3 a folder for a long time. In fact, I think Shon's son has been working on that concept for a while.

RAT seems to me, to be the more simple type. Not getting into any fancy schmancy designs or anything. Which is, IMO what a Khuk is.

+1 on the Rat folder! Now if you could only make it a frame lock....

I'd like to see the lock at frame lock thickness, but be a liner lock. I'd prefer both sides to have those lovely lovely canvas scales. :)

I carried liners for a long time with no problem, but I think a lock back or frame lock would match RAT durability better than a liner.

I'd prefer a lockback myself, but it wouldn't be compatible with the design from the thread. It has a flipper.

Thats great. I think it would be a HIT, the only major problem would be the locking mechanism. It would have to be a framelock or lock back to match the RAT durability.

p.s. I can't wait to see these clip points at Blade today.
