The kinda unspecified CRK talk thread.

When you disassemble, clean and lube your CRK’s, do you go back together with the factory lube or do you find another product preferable?

Makes me wish that I 1) had heard of CRK earlier, or 2) had a time machine!

I have a question for the CRK hive here, maybe it warrants a new thread:

Those of us who have come to love the insingo blade shape; do you prefer the Inkosi or the Sebenza - and yes they are slightly different.
I like the Sebenza Insingo better. Has a great height and I think better lines.

This should be fun...

(Only have had a large 31 Insingo and small 21 Insingo...so cannot vote based upon having not owned each model Insingo.)

I’ve been trying out Cherry Balmz gun grease in knives as I go. I like it so far, but I still keep some tubes of fluro grease on hand just in case.
Here’s a few more that I missed- each from March 2000 issue. View attachment 2342478

Thats pretty neat. I didn’t realize that tanto Sebenzas existed back then. Then again, I was in my early teens.

Well it certainly wasn't meant to be popcorn worthy, just a random CRK musing for us die hards. I would hope we tend to be more civilized than others ... hope.

I much prefer the Sebenza Insingo to the Inkosi. I actually only own it in a 21 now. The one in my last MagnaCut Inkosi was much to tapered for my tastes.

I completely agree.
This is like being held in the Lubyanka and being forced to confess to everything being your favorite.

"So, Inkosi is your favorite, da?"
"Yes."
"Insingo is your favorite, da?"
"Yes"
"But Inkosi Insingo is not favorite, da?"
"Yes"
"So, they are all favorite, no?"
"Yes"
"What is this Umnumazaan you speak of? Some sort of disinformation program from the west?"
"Yes"

"We are done with this Amerikanski. I think thirty years of beets will soften him up."
"Yes."

So I'm fickle, is that what you’re saying? ;)

Ill openly admit to believing that the Insingo is a better blade style for edc then any other I have used. I also admit I hated the grind on my last one and it’s what drove me to the DP I have now.

Ain’t we all!!
Guilty as charged. I had everything as far as my knife needs more than covered with my Bucks. Of my three favorites, one is a collectible, one is irreplaceable, so only one gets carried regularly. Even so, they were all I needed, in spite of my Kershaws and a bunch of cheapies and other not-so-cheapies. I was content, I had nothing more on my list, except for maybe a nice gentleman knife in titanium and wood grain inlays. And now here I am, about to become three deep in CRKs. Will this madness never end.
