Yes.Will this madness never end.
Smile when you say that, Pard...Aah, the word scholar. Took me a bit
I’ve tried several others but migrate back with the grease provided by CRK. Haven’t noticed a difference in any of them. What I have learned is that you can put too much which will make the knife feel wonky. When you disassemble, clean and lube your CRK’s, do you go back together with the factory lube or do you find another product preferable?
I find that new knives require the factory grease until they are well broken in. Once all of the parts are smoothed over and well mated, then you can switch to 85 weight nano oil. It lasts longer, doesn't dry out and attracts less dirt. When you disassemble, clean and lube your CRK’s, do you go back together with the factory lube or do you find another product preferable?
The small inkosi insingo would be my least favorite because of the crowded sharpening choil. There's little practical difference between the large Sebenza and large inkosi insingos, except for blade thickness and depth of the hollow grind. For me, this hooks back into the larger question of which tribe you favor. Sebenza or Inkosi. Those of us who have come to love the insingo blade shape; do you prefer the Inkosi or the Sebenza - and yes they are slightly different.
What more could I possibly want!
I've heard that some here prefer drop points. Have you tried those yet other than the Mnandi? What about the tanto blades? That end could make a great chisel/scraper if you have need of that additional duty. It may be worth testing. And, of course, as mentioned, the Umnumzaan, in both blade styles. And, also of course, there are the other size variants to check out. Is the Mnandi really better than the small Sabenza and small Inkosi? (I'm not sure yet either.) You're part way there (same as me). What more could I possibly want!

Here’s what I’m thinking, a small drop point Unique would complete your family. The good thing about a Unique is that you can look at them all day long and there will be one that speaks to you. It may take some time to find it, which will give you the time to replenish the knife fund. It took me a couple of years to find the right Unique that I just couldn’t pass up.The Reeve family has grown. I’m quite impressed with the newest member, the Sebenza.
I thought I was set, that the itch would be scratched, when I got the Mnandi. Oh nay, nay - it only added fuel to the fire that is the neurosis. Indeed an Inkosi would finally quench that thirst. Wrong again. But now, now I think I’ve satisfied that lust. The Sebenza totally hits the sweet spot. Looks, feel, action, and MagnaCut. What more could I possibly want!
