The kinda unspecified CRK talk thread.

You are not wrong my friend. Sexiest folders I’ve ever owned.
All my years of owning both types I never owned them both at the same time. Congrats.
My only nit with them is the clip placement. It lands in the absolute worst place for me and aggravates some prior injuries I had to a couple of fingers...so...off they go. Otherwise, love 'em. I have a couple of slips from Coleman to allow comfortable pocket carry without the clips.

I like the Sebenza Insingo better. Has a great height and I think better lines.

I tend to agree, I do favor the Inkosi - if only by a smidge - but like the Sebenza insingo more.

I completely agree.

I much prefer the Sebenza Insingo to the Inkosi. I actually only own it in a 21 now. The one in my last MagnaCut Inkosi was much to tapered for my tastes.

Looks like you fellas may have saved me some money since the Insingo blade was the only version of the Inkosi I was sorta interested in trying out.

Guess I'll update my sig.

(Balance is restored...2 DPs, 2 Tantos, 2 Insingos)

I get it. I bought both of the Inkosi insingos I have because of their dates, and I'll never sell them. One is my wedding anniversary, and one is the anniversary of my dad passing, and I had it engraved with his hand writing. Both are lefty, as am I, and are regularly in my rotation.

I completely understand the importance and relevance. Glad that you have those.

My wife bought me my first, (Regular), and this most recent CRK. My most recent is one day off my anniversary, but is actually my sister's anniversary.. Oh well. She's not getting it. ☺️

Anyone care for gold hardware with plain bead blasted handles? Or is it an odd color combination?

Anybody have some good suggestions on aftermarket parts for CRK. Id like to check out some different options for thumb studs and clips. Pm me if with the sites if necessary. Thanks

All this talk about favorite CRKs makes me a bit crazy because I would find it very difficult to make a definitive judgment.

My first, a Regular from 1998, has pride of place since it was bought by my wife for my b'day back then and I could never sell or trade it. It was my first "really good" production knife (beyond Benchmade and Spyderco).

As far as patterns, the two Zaans, DP and Tanto, and the 31 Insingo really trip my trigger on both aesthetics and function. Love 'em.

The small 21 Insingo is great because of both the blade and the "Glorious" scale which I love. The small is a little small for my taste, but is a niche knife for occasions where a larger knife would not fit the bill. So I would place it a (small) step behind...though it is a beautiful example.

Finally, I suppose that leaves the 31 Tanto at the back of the pack...and yet, I still like it quite a bit. It feels great in hand, is sharp as can be and opens with authority. What's not to like? (I think it will be the knife which will end up getting the most use over time, but that remains to be seen.)

I hear so much talk about how great of a blade the insingo is functionally that I’m beginning to feel I need to give it a try. Aesthetically it is my least favorite that they offer but is certainly one of the better looking sheepfoot blades out there.

I’m leaning towards trying it on an inkosi.

It's a great blade...and personally, I think it's great looking as well...beyond the functionality.

I’m generally not a fan of sheepsfoot blades but I’m sure it would grow on me once I have it in hand. I also tend to appreciate function over form so it it’s a useful as described, no doubt I’ll have a strong appreciation for it.

Anybody got any suggestions to get the lanyard pin to stop rattling. Kinda surprising a company with such tight tolerances hasn’t fixed that.
