The kinda unspecified CRK talk thread.

I actually keep the lanyard on em. Still rattles with it. Don’t want to loctite and not have the lanyard be able to move.

I read it elsewhere on the forum, but what works for me is a little of the CRK grease where the pin touches the scale.
Thanks, I’ll give it a try. Not really into lanyards but they do help getting the knife outta the pocket. Just ordered 2 new ones from Reeves.

Some of you ladies fellas sure are sensitive.

I hear that little click and think, "oh, it's the lanyard tube"...as opposed to "OMG, how do I stop this dreadful noise!?"

Oh, gotta go...My HVAC just turned on. Gotta find a way to make it quieter... 🤣

Ha, I guess I am sensitive. The thumb studs hurt my thumb even with a callous.

Guess I’m just used to perfection from my Gorgeous George’s 😉

Are we picking favorites? Between my Mnandi, small Inkosi, and small Sebbie, I have to give the nod to the Mnandi. It’s so elegant, so comfortable to hold and operate, it’s just a beautiful little knife. For my generally light knife usage, it’s got it all. I do love all three, but the Mnandi just edges the other two out. It hasn’t quite displaced my Buck Sprints as overall favorite, but it’s my favorite CRK.

The Three Amigos:

And (still) the Three Kings, otherwise and more commonly known as Huey, Dewey and Louie:

There’s a little story behind Dewey, the blue and black-handled Sprint Ops Pro, currently holding the #1 spot. But that’s for another time and another thread.

Got in a mutt/ user Zaan to give a go. First impressions over a new one, It’s (maybe) smoother than my Inkosi but I still love the Inkosi more haha. We will see who pulls out ahead after some use over the next few months. View attachment 2358218

mitchnola mitchnola did you get yours in yet?
No, closed the deal Saturday night. Supposed to be shipped out today. Impressed to see it may be smoother than the inkosi cause my inkosi is smooth and getting better everyday. Really do love everything about the inkosi! Gonna be hard to beat out the inkosi but not gonna say it aint possible.

That’s a nice group ya got there btw!

Nice, and thank you! I saw you had one coming but didn’t know when it always landing. Yea I may be splitting hairs on which one is smoother but I was pleasantly surprised when I got it. Granted I didn’t have to break it in but benefited from someone else’s sore thumbs haha.

Haha, no doubt they work the thumbs, even with a callous.

Is there a sebenza vs inkosi vs zaan thread? That would make for a good read.

I didn't know that the Zaan was a little bigger than the other two. Can't wait until they put out another batch. Maybe I'll score one.

Despite the rocky start, my current favorite (between Gen 3 Mnandi, 31 DP, and DP Inkosi) is the 31. It's been brought to my attention just how thin the cutting edge is and that must be why I like using it so much.

But, it looks like I might be able to flick the Inkosi and that it might hold up to flicking. If so, it will certainly get some pocket time for that reason alone. I couldn't bring myself to flick a Sebenza. Just seems wrong (and none of mine are even remotely flickable, too stiff/hydraulic).

jacobconroy75 jacobconroy75 yea I can flick all 3 but I much prefer slow rolling the 31 and Inkosi. The Zaan seems to want to be flicked. Slow rolling it feels un-natural to me so far. It’s a different hand position and it seems, like others have mentioned before, the lock bar pressure makes a huge difference.

Can’t wait to try the zaan out! I flick em all. Took 2-3 weeks of working the sebbie to be able to flick it.

I swear that's my last one. I blame the previous poster. :)
