The kinda unspecified CRK talk thread.

Been really liking both the Large and Small Inkosi in Insingo blades. Really have been having a hard time finding any want for another knife as of late. A strange feeling for me. One day a Mnandi will be in my possession. However, I don't think I would carry it more often than my Small or Large Inkosi. The Large has done every task I've needed it to do, and more. Cutting up strawberries, salads, food, cutting boxes, packaging, whittling a little... It's easy to see why people like the Insingo so much. I was put off by it because the drop point looks visually better, but after using it I much prefer it to the drop point. Maybe not a great knife for skinning game or gutting a fish, but pretty much good for anything else.

You always know when you are satisfied with your knives when you start looking at multi-tools and flashlights etc!

It's kind of how I look at the Wilson Combat knives, even though they are discontinued now. Every time I find myself looking at them with an "I'll take it" response typed up ready to send...

And then I remind myself that when WC changed to the sunburst pattern grips and new logo I hated them.

All my WC 1911's and many others have the old style grips on them. Not one has the sunburst on them... So why would I pay scalper prices for a WC Inkosi ?

So far I have resisted.

I DID pay a modest premium for a Backpacker for myself from a scalper after I gave the one I bought from a dealer to a close friend.

Now that it’s heating up, what are you all carrying? Been wearing shorts at home more often, so the Small Inkosi has been seeing most of my carry. If I have a BBQ, the Large Inkosi is going to be my companion!

I have been carrying my Nyala on my belt and a Benchmade (Super)Freek in my pocket all week even with the warmer weather.

Been wanting a fixed blade in the size of a Nyala or Backpacker! I just don't want to pay reseller fees... I have one on order, so patience is key for me. What uses do you see the Nyala getting?
