The King

I need to obtain a leather sheath for my "Preacher" BK9 that I modded into a bowie.

Nice job,

Shhhhhh about the choil Dubz will read you. And if he does you have to decide. Do you want to run from Sasquatch... Or run with Sasquatch

Haha
Idk what this means....but my wife Loves Bigfoot....And has the T-shirts to prove it!

My recent second Becker, first Nine.

*Hoping pic goes through/still learning.

Just got a King on order! Been wanting one for a long time and I’m finally living a lifestyle that justifies it!

Congratulations!

I’m finding the BK9 is amazingly well rounded and useful. Something else that I didn’t expect was how fun the knife is.

A word that keeps popping in my head is “balance”.

It is heavy enough to chop but nimble in hand.

It’s steel is tough but easy to sharpen.

The blade is reasonably thick but the high grind makes it a good cutter.

The handle is beefy and also comfortable.

The blade comes with a tough protective coating but it can be easily removed.

The scales can be customized quite easily.

The price is low enough to use but the knife is not an entry level tool.

The knife is a favorite for modifications.

KaBar customer service from what I’ve seen is top notch.

The designer is an humble and honorable man who frequents and comments on this forum.

The sheath is simple but also handy. It has storage capability and even a second small sheath.

The BK9 has deservedly earned its title as The King!

This.

The BK9 us a good general purpose tool. To me its a Knife that can chop, but it chops pretty dang well. Its high saber grind and good steel made me decide I never needed the more bulkier Jungalusiethingy. I did the "BIG MOD!" of getting micarta for them though. And its light enough to take with a dedicated chopper for more campy duties, I never got a 7 because the 9 seems to be able to do things the 7 can do and I have enough midling sized knives to cover that area.

Me I like having "MORE THAN YOU NEED!" of some important things because some how one always forgets one or two things but then since you left "One of the to many things you got!" around in its "Just in case I forgot the thing I needed!" its there to save your arse.

Looking at putting the winter survival tote in the car for the season. The BK9 might join for the ride. I'm thinking you could darn near shovel snow with it if needed. As a plus, it'll break out car windows if necessary in an accident situation.

I suppose I could just leave it in the vehicle all year. Nothing says "Don't bother me at the interstate rest stop" like the combination of a handgun and a BK9. Though my son says the AR-15 platform and 1500 rounds of ammo in the back of his truck would accomplish the same thing...

My Bk3 is my go-to vehicle tool and a Glock 22 of course

Well, since I live in the east coast commie state of Marilundt, the Glock is not an option. The BK-9 certainly IS. It’s a fantastic knife, one that I wouldn’t hesitate to grab as a one knife for everything in a survival situation. I’ve used mine hard, and it’s never let me down.

Also toss in a Mattock as I find in the winter its a very useful tool, be sides the big blade, and a SAW in the car really cuts down road blocking trees literally, while the big blade/chopper delimbs them about as fast and safer than an axe.
