It's funny ya know? After having dinner with the fam, I decided to go back to the dirty stonies one more time......and boom! Now the seb is sporting a very respectable edge! Like holy crap!? I ACTUALLY managed to put an even bevel on it, and a good 90% of the edge is sharp as a muddafuger....
Still wanna send her in though. I mean why not? It's free, and the guy says turn around time is only a couple days.

I did some grinding to the millie tonight. I got the rough shape done. I've still got to grind out the clip point part of the blade, and then smooth everything out. It whent alot better than I thought. I'm pretty stoked.

A cutting disc on a dremel. It took a long time, but at least I'm certain I didn't ruin the heat treat. I'm still hesitant to start on the curved portion at the top of the spine to make it look more "bowie-esque." Slow and steady I suppose it should go just fine.

Krissig12, looking closer at my DT edge, I actually haven't lost much at all, I've just brought the bevel up considerably higher. Both the edges I have posted here are convex, with a primary bevel of 25~ degrees inclusive and a 40~ degree micro bevel. The edge is pretty steep but this is close to the edge it came with initially, but thinner. Slicing about as well as it was at 30~ inclusive without a micro bevel.

Jesus rutha, that was quick! I figured it would be 2 days late not 2 days early. Glad you got it before christmas. As I said before, I highly suggest you send it in to benchmade. Their service is great and quick, or at least it was for me.
