The Knife you'll NEVER get rid of....

Spyderco Military, its as close as it gets to my ideal knife (so far). Its the whole package imo - design, ergonomics and function.

I would never get rid of the Strider SMF that a Marine Friend of mine gave me when I was Deployed with him while I was in the Air Force.

Right now it's my first Spyderco - my Salt 1. It's been used a lot and holds special sentimental value.

I'm sure that if I ever receive a knife as a gift, I won't part with that either.

Mine would be the 1982 Remington Bullet knife I got in 1982. I bought the shotgun, got the paperwork and sent away for it. I never used it, put it away and I'll be darned if that thing didn't turn out to be a little investment piece too!!

I have several I'll never part with:

Spyderco Lava, Victorinox Pioneer, Spyderco Delica from Santa Fe Stoneworks, Buck 301, all given to me by my girlfriend.

A Schrade 8OT that I won in a giveaway from jackknife.

A Schrade Improved Muskrat given to me by orca8589 to help me fill my Schrade display case.

A Menefee Zulu Trapper I purchased from another forum member and had rehandled by Rick.

They all mean quite a bit to me, and I don't think any of them will find their way to the chopping block.

As I have stated several times here I never keep knives and/or gear long. I use it for some time and the pass it along and replace it with newer gear/knives. I do believe the ESEE line of knives will be the first I never ever get rid of, or will need to replace. Time will tell.

The Case/Tony Bose collaboration Dogleg Jack. And I can't live without one of Pohan Leu's tanto, of course.

Strider SMF DGG OD I traded for here on Bladeforums. First knife I have ever owned that might be considered semi-custom.

I was concerned about the size for EDC but have now carried it for a week or so.

Perfect fit.

Saw this thread come back up, I traded this awhile back for a Sebenza.:D

Once I buy a knife, I never part with it. If I get tired of it, I throw in in a box and forget about it. When I rediscover it years later, it's like Christmas.

A better question for me would be, "What knife would you re-buy if you lost it?"

-Sebenza
-Any of my SAKs
-Traditional styled Moras
-Quality kitchen knives (I'll let you know if I ever get any in the first place)
-USMC Ka-Bar
-CS Master Hunter

Everything else doesn't pass this test.

Haha i have a kershaw storm as well and i like it allot. However if i had to keep only it it would be my RC6. No doubt

The Microtech UT-II v.1 that I bought in the fall of 2004 from Bob Bartoli. I carry it nearly every day, both because it's a great little knife and in remembrance.

That will be my Military and Para Military in fully serrated CPM D2

These are one of a kind and gifted to me by Mr. Sal Glesser himself:thumbup::thumbup:

Hinderer XM-18 3.5" flipper and BM940 - 1 for hard use & 1 for light pocket carry. ;)
