THE "Knives on NCIS" Thread

Awesome show, if I had a bigger tv I probably wouldn't have mistook that logo on the blades as CRKT. Unfortunately my new TV has been on backorder for a couple of months now. NCIS is a great show, NCIS LA is to a lesser extent as well. Been watching NCIS for years - since before the Kate character was killed off. We never miss it. We never missed The Unit before either. Of course tonight two exit-Unit cast members guest starred on NCIS LA!

NCIS has always been a great show, I have even more respect for it tonight after the steak scene with the ZT's very cool, almost fell out of my chair.

I nearly missed the steak cutting finale, and with the glimpse I got thought maybe a striped strider and a ZT. Even my son, who is becoming more and more knife aware, perked up and commented on Gibbs and DiNozzo use of folders to eat the steak. He's seen me snap out one or another Emerson plenty of times around the kitchen, nearly as often as outside around the Ponderosa.
I figured this thread would appear after tonight's show.
Nice to see Robert Wagner too. Wonder what he was carrying?
Something European and automatic I would guess.

It was nice to see a couple hardcore folders in the last scene, I enjoyed the synchronized deployment.:cool:

I am glad to see this thread back to the top......Great Show. I was shocked to see the ZT's at the end of the episode. I had to rewind it just to see it again, and again........ I have been wanting a 0301 for quite some time, after seeing this episode, I just had to get one. Contacted Dave ( kershawguy ) and one is on the way. I cant wait. Thanks NCIS for my newest knife purchase :thumbup::thumbup:
 
I love the show but I have only seen the first couple of seasons. Which season and episode was this? I want to check it out.
 
Really?! Wow! I need to buy them on dvd, all they ever show on tv here is the first two, maybe three. That's good in a way though, I'm glad theres so much more I haven't seen :D.
 
Can't speak of ALL of our Armed Forces, but I can tell you some of the knives are currently being issued to the US Navy 'SeaBees' as my daughter is serving with the 23rd NMCB.

Kelli has been issued: (1) Leatherman Wave, (1) Kabar, 7 inch fine edge, and, as I recall, a liner lock folder that I've not had my hands on yet but I believe is a Gerber.
 
I read somewhere that ZT shipped out a ZT0301 & a special order ZT0302 With a ZT0300 black blade to CA. They think it went to a prop man who is a kershaw knife nut.

Don't know for sure, but it makes sense since the DiNozzo knife is just like the one special ordered. :cool:

That must be a unit specific thing, I know reserve battalions have a little more leeway when it comes to special purchases. I have been a Seabee for 12 years and been in two active duty NMCB's and the only knife I was ever issued was a benchmade rescue hook. I have never heard of any battalions being issued leathermans. As far as the kabar goes, my last NMCB had a strict 5" blade policy. I did have a some POS gerber multi given to me at one of my commands, but it was not issued to me. It sounds to me like your daughter has a knife nut for a supply officer. I wish I was in her unit, I would definately not be turning away a wave or a kabar. BTW whats her rate, just curious. I am a UT.
 
Just started watching NCIS, great show. Couldnt get a picture anywhere, but in series 3 episode 3 (POSSIBLE SPOILER!!) there is a scene with a few knives on the hood of a car, that a serial killer uses to try to kill agent Cassidy.
