The Les George Knives Thread

Kickin’ it old school on this fine carbon fiber Friday, w/ the OG of the LG folder world: CF scale Ti bolster frame lock custom FM-1 from 08-09.

I’m particularly fond of the thumb-disc and utilitarian hollow grind on this one. Ergos are a dream. Definitely a performance centric design and a fantastic carry. No surprise these were the inspiration behind the Talos V1!

I actually agree with Blues Blues sentiment. It’s the reason I only have 10 LGs and not 30. I only need so many drop points and can’t rationalize why I would need more just because of variations in the scales/blade steel.

So over the years I’ve eventually gotten the variations Ive wanted the most and am now no longer really in the market for anymore LGs. Which is unfortunate because I would love to still be chasing em. The only thing I’m currently hoping for one day is a dammy myna.

I wish Les would do different blade shapes for all the models similar to Hinderer. But I get it, Les does it his own way on his terms. And while I completely respect that it unfortunately leaves me bored and wanting more.
ya like lots of blade shapes? .......thats cause and you dont realize it yet, but you're a Demko man.

Easy, buddy. Too much, too soon, could cause an identity crisis with severe repercussions and sleepless nights.

Lol, actually when it comes to blade shapes/design Emerson is still my all time favorite.

While I very much like Les’ drop point it was his action and flawless functionality that drew me in.

While also very functional I get me aesthetically designs fulfilled by odkw.

So that would potentially leave Demko as my ham sandwich knife. Spreads mayonnaise like a charm and can cut my sandwich in half. Then I could flip n flop the mayonnaise off with that sweet sharklock!

I have to admit, that’s one of the best looking demko blades I’ve seen. And I’ve always liked the idea of handles with independent finger choils. As long as it fits my hand. Very nice!
