The new Case Bose teardrop

I'm curious on those that have one already, how is the blade pull? SAK like or stiffer than that?

And also, I'd appreciate a pm letting me know where these are being preordered from?

And a thanks to Mr. Bose for adding a little history behind the designs. I didn't know that about Doc Hagen. Good stuff.

Thanks guys! Joe

Just seen that they are out. A one blade in amber, one in stag, and the other in ol red pocket worn. These aren't my cup of tea but I know sum on here love em.

Was waiting for them, they are nice but something about them just doesn't trip my trigger.

If they make an Easy-Open in that pocket-worn red bone, I'd definitely pick one up as a present for my dad.

Mine arrived today. I'm very happy with it: 5 pull, no play, no gaps. Maybe a little heavy handed with the sanding buffing around the edges of the barehead covers, but very nice all together. The zulu is a great all-round blade shape for a pocket knife, and it took a nice edge at 600 grit.

I agree. Nice looking little knife, Jeff. I may have to get one.

I've handled about 6 the other day, single blade and stag and redbone doubles. They pulled about a 4....for there size the pull is right. The pen is just a little shorter than the swayback jack's pen and the spear is just a little longer than the wharnie on the swayback jack. but the blade pull is about the same as those.... disappears in the pocket but fills the hand nicely.

Can someone snap a photo of one next to a GEC 15, or a case texas jack for size reference. I know it is 3.5" but it just looks small to me.

Perfect, thank you.

From dealer photos the red on these is quite dark. Wish I had a master dealer somewhere close so I could pick one out instead of rolling the dice. I prefer a brighter red.

Red one came yesterday. f&f is very good, like the swayback jack. I feel the blade pull, especially on the larger blade is less than that of the sb jack about a 4 the smaller blade is about a 5. Blades were not centered but still ok. The price was good. The scales matched pretty good and the red color is very nice. Nice knife. Worth getting. Hope this helps.

Here's a more focused look...

Great photo and good for comparison sake too. Great looking teardrop shape, slender and elegant, a real gentleman's pocket knife. More refined looking shape than the GEC #85 if you ask me and I really like this pattern and would jump on one but...
... I think the main blade is awful. To me it looks like they put all the work into the shape of the handle and the blade is just an after thought; as if they just picked one out of a box that they thought might fit. I was so excited when I saw the pattern then disappointed when I saw it blade open. Did they just run out of imagination at the final stage?
