dude!!! only reason I know is cuz I was at a gaming place couple months back and they had some super long ones, looks really easy but after reality sunk in I realized not only was I a novice but I sucked as well :D

The "champion" ones are like 22' long. I have seen some shorter ones as well. They vary from 9-22' to be official.

Ah, nice to be able to get back online again. Sup heads?

Storm knock you out Dubz? There was a wicked rumbler that rambled through here last night. Kind of pissed me off cause it came out of no where and it hit right as we were eating supper on the rooftop.

Nah, father in law gave me a new computer. I tried taking the card out of my old one, and install it in this one, but it was a no go. He gave me a Linksys USB wireless adapter, but it kept not working, haha. Went to town today and got a new one. So far, so good.

Sunday Afternoon Blues...
Surprisingly consistent, even on a long weekend.

We had a huge thunderstorm roll through here last night, with bands of heavy rain, thunder, lightning. The strange part? Practically no wind.

Today is a sad day, not to make light of fellow bf members who have lost family members, because family is #1. But as we all know #2 is our beloved pets. My mother in laws 14 yr. old chocolate lab name Freedom passed away tonight. This dog has been there for the birth of both of my kids and have played with them every day since. He died with while being petted by my mother in law while he was laying with his head in her lap. He was a good dog, and he will be missed. Gotta figure out how to break it to my kids.

Well, the dove hunt sucked donkey dangle. I relied on my buddy to pick the field and set up the spots. And at first, I thought my spot was going to be great; I had two doves in the bucket by 12:10. But then I ended the day with only three birds. Just nothing was flying. Not even the usual 5:00 to 6:00 flurry. I had some really long-ass shots that I dutifully missed. Beyond those, I had almost no good shots on birds. On a positive note, my new Browning A5 shot really well on the few good shots I had. Not a single hiccup with Federal loads. Hit the first bird I shot at. It shoulders and shoots really well.

More plus side? My wife had a damn good supper fixed when I got home. Now it's time to go clean my three measly birds and put up my stuff. Thought about hunting tomorrow on a public field, but they're all a pretty good distance. I may just put the seat on my daughter's kayak and take the family for a paddle tomorrow.

Condolences Todd -- The loss of a good dog often hurts more than the loss of a family member.
first tears i shed in 35 years were when I had to put down the 3 year old pup last spring -- and I've been to a LOT of funerals in that time.

That's always rough. Although I don't have any pets, I always had a dog as a kid. Always hard when one died.

Was it just too hot?

Was it just too hot?

Partly weather, I think. We had a big storm cell move through earlier in the day. Also, the field my buddy picked simply stank. There was more shooting (but still not a lot) on adjacent fields.

Lots of these little guys here at the dz. Relocated this one this morning. So small and easy to step on accidentally.

Todd, I'm so sorry to hear about the pup! 14 year old dog is a good ole dog.

The good news is, you had dinner waiting for you when you got home!

Just got back from my mother in laws. I left as soon as I posted my last entry here on this thread.I went over to help bury her dog. Man, sad, that's all I can say, I feel so bad for my mother in law. That old dog was her only company, gonna take the kids over to visit tomarrow. See if she will eat dinner with us.
