I'm on day 8 of the whiskey advent calendar SWMBO got me as a combined B-day and X-mas gift - a couple of them have even been pretty good.

I need one of those! Haha

If either of you can figure out how to send whisky (note the lack of "e") by USPS/UPS/FedEx I might could fix ya up with a bottle or two of single malt...but USPS is not an option and I don't think I have the $$ to go with the whisky for "FRAGILE" postage cost...

I would gladly cover the cost of shipping, if you're willing to do it.
wrap the bottles in foam so they can't jostle in the box is a biggie.
so is making sure there's nothing on the outside of the box identifying the contents as alcohol.
beyond that, I'm not up on all the regs.

PM sent! :D

It is so interesting stumbling back in here and seeing old threads revived, pics of folders (remember when we never thought we would get one of those!?!), and even old 'heads dropping back in. Really glad to see everything keeps on keepin on.

Might be sacriledge with a nice single malt
but if you pour it into an empty plastic soda bottle it should be pretty bomb proof.

or one of these stackable 1l UN jerry cans

no experience in shipping liquids though... just what I imagine to work :D

I may actually have a couple of air packs for bottles here - I'll do some looking to see if I still have them.
I know I have some cardboard shipping tubes, but they may not be big enough for a bottle to slide inside - would limit clinking if they fit.

Jonny and Erik, I sent you email - I know, old school - but I have no problem packing them securely in their original bottles....I just won't send them USPS because it is explicitly barred and I don't need any more troubles in my life. For allay'all spectators, here's a teaser:

COPD, something I'll have to contend with for the rest of my life now. Have to go to the pharmacy, pick up nebulizer treatments, steroids, antibiotics, inhalers, etc. No more sitting around camp fires, no more cigars, etc. Sounds like a great life...not.

I have no insurance either. 4 full days of treatments, ct scan, etc. Gonna kill me financially. Hell, I'm not even working. My 7 day stay with covid was $37, XXX. Insurance paid $30, 000 of it. Still paying on the rest.

check with your state family services and see if you're eligible for a medical card to offset some of that?

Wife's been working on all that stuff. Was hoping I could apply for medicaid, but we make "too" much, which is laughable, especially since I'm not employed.

Which pisses me off. If I was a lazy bum, I could have that. But since I've worked my whole life, and paid into such services, I'm not eligible.
