The carpenter has to come back and do some awkward siding shingles after the rain, looks like. But man, it LOOKS like a way better job than the last one. The proof will be in the dryness...

Looks like they prefer Gourmet over Black Silk. I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say the middle one is 100% Colombian based on how good it looks.

Yea, we've all gotten tired of burglaries. I had to dig up near 200' of 220 volt extension cable to weld up some cut fence pickets. After too much talk, I volunteered to start a cactus garden along the fence. Kind of satisfying to the inner nerd to learn a few things about cacti.

That middle finger! Those are just cuttings I recently 'potted'. They are supposed to be 'Red Teddy Bear' Cholla.

She got up the energy to get outside today. She got out in the back yard and run out of energy so I carried her back

With just the two of us I am doing a chicken in the smoker . BK-10 made quick work of taking backbone out of the bird to spatchcock the bird . Then cutting up the back bone so I can make broth for my beagle

Wife and her dad were supposed to go to New Jersey for Thanksgiving, but Pop had to have a pacemaker installed a few days ago. Nice to have my wife home for the holiday.

Chicken is juicy everything is cleaned up. BK-10 on my hip . I am resting a bit then I am going to put the finishing touches on Abby Grace my beagle's grave . She is tired and it is time to give her back to God. I am thankful for him loaning her to me for a while

That's a hard day but when it's time, it's the right thing to do. I can still remember taking our 16 year old Vizsla to the vet one last time 9 years ago. I cried my eyes out. My only real regret was not asking the Vet to come out to my truck to do it there with us sitting on the tailgate.

Man, that was a good dog.

I ended up having to put her down myself Thursday evening. Couldn't let her go 2 more days in that condition. Being thanksgiving no place was open. God I don't remember it being that hard to put a dog down hugged her told her I love her and sent her across the rainbow bridge. Wrapped her in a blanket laid her in the ground covered her up then sat in the dark crying like a baby . Came in and poured three fingers of Rye she was a special little hound that left too soon
