Please tell me there'll be more sales of the Field Knives in the future? I reeeeeally wanted to use the spot I won, but had to let it go on account of cash flow this time around... but hoping I can grab one on the next go-round! Really wishing this sale had been two weeks from now...

I'd rather be lucky than good any day. The generosity was real today and I can't wait to get my Field Knife. Payment is sent and now the waiting begins.

They will be retired next year so I am sure you will have another chance to win one.
 
I believe the next sale will be the 7th with some new handle offerings, for the EDC I think?

Nathan will update the first post soon but I think the last note he made was in the sale thread from last week. Im about to start work so don't have time to check just now.

There's nothing this Friday. We're working on the Field Knife preorders this week and we're making some fancy scales for a few EDC and Field Knives for the following Friday (I like to do something like that every once in a while). The sale will be here on this forum so I can do a previewing, not the general forum.

I'm not 100% sure what we're going to have yet, so I haven't announced anything.
 
My output this winter is going to slow down a little bit. I'm working on an epic one-off (I like to do a special piece about once a year), I have another HT protocol to optimize for 4V, and I'm prototyping/developing Lorien's SK. We'll have 60 Light Choppers, ~100 EDC and the last ~50 Field Knives over the next ~4-5 months then get it back into high gear again next spring with the new model and also the new steel for the EDC.
 
Thanks very much for the update Nathan. I have a request, and of course will leave it up to your discretion sir. I layed off of ordering a second field knife from your preorder list because I was trying not to get ahead of everyone who didn't have one yet. I waited too long. I knew you were closing it down, but got called away with work for a couple days there at the end and came back to it closed. Totally my fault for laying back on it.

Having said that, I would like to see if you are at all inclined to do another larger sale, like a 15 or 20 piece sale. It seems I can get in on those sometimes. I realize this may not be something you want to do, especially since you're coming down to the last 50 pieces before retiring the pattern, and will certainly be happy no matter what you decide. Thanks for giving this consideration, and for keeping us in the loop with your upcoming schedule.

Dave, if you'd like and also if you fail to score on the next cycle of FK Friday Sale, I'm willing to add one up to my existing preorder (I'm toward the bottom of the list though) for you with Nathan's blessing and permission :)
 
That is very kind of you Mat. If you are very near the end of the list, I might be okay with that........I just don't want to make a bunch of folks below you angry by making them wait longer. Before I did that, I think I'd contact them and see if they would be okay with it, with the maker's blessing of course. But being toward the end of the list is great with me. I've just been pretty hard on my D3V model, which I was happy to do when I figured I could get a spare :D But now I'm feeling a bit the fool for getting after it so hard, ha.

Let's wait and see where Nate comes down on this. I definitely want to stay within forum etiquette. And THANK YOU very much for the offer :thumbup:
 
I'm like the 5th from the bottom, so there's plenty of time before we can make a final decision after Nathan let's me know as to whether it is permissible although he had mentioned about a week ago or so that an up/down increase/decrease on the preorder list was fine with him.
 
If a couple people bump their order up I don't see a problem. But I closed the sale when I did because the backlog was as big as I wanted it to get. If a bunch of folks start bumping their order I might run into a problem.
 
Roger that Nathan and thank you for the input. I'll reserve ONE spot only for those who are currently in my BF circle of friends (total of 7 with the exception of Grogimous, just because I luv to fark with him, so practically 6 :D) and only 3 are CPK nuts 2 of whom have more CPKs than Lorien already! LOL! So for all intents and purposes, it's most probably H.K. or none at all ;)
 
Mat, I truly appreciate the sentiment buddy. But I think my 'want' here has the potential to cause too much heartache. I'm going to take my chances and hope for the best. Sincerely, thanks again.

Nathan, thank you sir. The last thing I want to do is add to any headaches.
