I forgot the specs, my bad.

It does look like cocobolo but it's actually ironwood.

4 3/4" blade
4 3/4" handle
5/32" O1 with a hand sanded finish and a convex edge
Ironwood with 1/8" nat canvas micarta liners, two 3/16" brass pins and a brass lanyard
 
Man! Here I kept telling myself that going to Blade Show made up for missing the Gather.
Now I am thinking I need to fall mysteriously ill for a week so I can do both ..lol.
What great stuff guys, This contest is going to be fantastic.

I know this breaks your heart but ..... I finally got around to grinding and actually glued up my scales tonight, stayed up to 1am just to make sure they dried and I had some more time tomorrow to finish sand....

nothing special here and I apologize in advance for slacking, I kinda feel like I've just thrown one together to make it time to the gathering.. Made a mistake with the scales in the frantic process but I covered it up, you'll see what I mean when I post pics Friday of the finished product...my mistake actually took on a life of its own and may be welcomed by some...

Great googly moogly, is this really only a week and a half away? I should probably build a handle of some sort and fashion a sheath for mine. I'm thinking duct tape and PVC pipe... Dang paying customers keep wanting their stuff done, and getting in the way of finishing it up... dicks. I mean, um, thank you for your support! :D

What day is the testing going to be? Miss Angie and I are only coming down for one day... she keeps threatening to drop me off and leave me there, but I have a ton of work to catch up on. See above.

In other news, I did buy a spiffy new hat to wear. Sorry ladies, this one isn't metal and doesn't have horns on it.
 
I got Bruce's entry today, pretty impressive. Not sure if he's back from getting hitched yet.

No horns but I do think tinfoil counts as metal, but you're right, it does look spiffy on you! ;)
