Here is my blade. I almost totally finished the sheath last night while watching Duck Dynasty. I need to go back over my pull strokes and do the final sharpening.

Steel: O1 (5/32)
Handle: Green G10 with Desert Tan and Black liners / Nickel silver fasteners
Heat treated by me

Whoa! Shes pretty!

whew !!! looks like I made it !!!! In the midst of packing/moving, work, coaching, and the mundane tasks of life my procrastinating self finally was able to step up.. Its far from perfect but I really was down to the wire on this one and didn't want to try to fix the minor stuff in fear I'd mess something up more and would run out of time :D..I'm really not that worried about it and more excited I was able to participate with all the greats in this awesome challenge..

1095, 9" oal, 4 1/2" blade, quilted maple, 6.71oz, 59RC

everything done in-house including rockwell testing...

A lot of great lookin stuff. Its gonna be awesome to handle all of these first hand. I received Rick Marchands knife in the mail early in the week. I will be bringing it to the challenge as well as my entry, which I ended up giving to Murph. (He was more in love with it than I was.) I should have my new one finished this weekend.

Wheww! O.K. so I decided to start over on mine. I liked my first one, but didn't love it. A lot of tallented makers here. Don't wanna show up with something sub-par. Here's the one I'm takin. Still gotta do the final edge but its pretty much ready to go. I'm not 100% head over heels in love with this one either. But I'm satisfied. It sure is a honor to taking part in this. Thanks KFU for this awesome challenge and opprotunity.

Thanks Chris. At the gathering I want to pick your brain on where you come up with the beautifull pieces of wood you get.

tyrone that is an awesome piece right there bro, but completely unfair in the same breath..... If I'd only not procrastinated, had so much on my plate, more time, lived closer..... then..........

my knife would have ended up at least 10% as good as that :D
