The Official Lanyard Thread

I like that bee-hive or honey-dauber bead on your 'Zaan, halden.doerge halden.doerge , and the red O-ring's cool too.

I'm just back from Vermont with a few pics, but no real nice outdoorsy ones. We had one beautiful day and spent it all up on our new acreage checking out the view and exploring the woods. The most knife pics I shot were at the window on the big rain day, which was a great time to work on knives, sharpening two for my son and tying up a couple lanyards.

I stopped at our PO and picked up the Hinderer Alpha bead I ordered to add to my newly REK re-ground XM24 on our way out-of-town last week and added it to the knife at our dining room table up North.

Here's the herd all dressed up now with the Hinderer South Sister and Alpha beads on the MP1 and XM24 and an Inspiribomb bronze bead on my XM18 Dragon.

Yeah, it's a good fit. The Hinderer Mt Hood bead.

Here's my new ZT0909 which I've been posting on the forums the last couple days. I had a stand-in lanyard on it--just double-looped through the hole--to carry to work yesterday. Last night I tied up something similar to what's on my CRK PlainJane 25--partially gutted red 750 cord, this one with an elongated crown and diamond knot spaced above three snakes. No jewelry on this very no-bling knife. Simple's good.

Here's a couple takes on lanyard attachments for the Umnumzaan/Startac. You've seen the lanyard on my StarTac with its pin removed and 550 the cord with the original WC bead wrapped around the extra standoff/screw set-up in the the @Norvox mod.

Here's my son's StarTac with 550 pulled through the hole in the stock lanyard pin and a Ti bead added. I didn't think that 550 could make it through that tiny opening but halden.doerge halden.doerge manages with just the right end-tapered cut and careful burn. I did gut a couple strands out my cord just to make it easier.

Yeah, we'd been back and forth about that more knives thing, halden.doerge halden.doerge . Paracord is way cheaper than new knives for sure and even a few pricier beads change things up and save some serious bucks. Baby's got new clothes.
