I know,I know! Why can't you leave things alone? Cold and snowing today so why knot play with string?
Decided the silver bead would look better on the black fob. Swapped them around this morning. What do you think?

Made a fob for when you might drop a knife and lose it.

I was asked to make a lanyard for a large fixed blade knife. This is what I came up with: (this is not the knife.Just one I had on hand.)

Forgot to add I put a sliding ranger bead on it so it can be secured to the wrist.

I was asked to make a braided leather fob for this folder should have gotten a closeup of the lanyard it has a bead held in place by a rubberized cork wedge

Nice beads there for sure! on my list to get some day!

I used some leather cordage on this folder as the hidden lanyard pin has a narrow access, the cord is 2mm diameter and just fits. Now the leather has weak spots, as I tried to make three diamond knots to end this, but the cord snapped off so I just left it at two and called it good for now

Not the handiest thing to try and knot up, but I was able to get a wide diamond knot and I inserted some pieces of cord inside the bead to make up the excess room it has.

Also just got in a Spyderco Tenacious today with S35vn, I've said many years ago if they ever came out with better steel I'd grab one, under the rock I've been living I missed it's entrance into the market but I made up for it and grabbed one, very nice.

The whipping knot that I do helps to prevent the lanyard from falling into the blade area, with out that you can see that it is able to flop over there, one could tie a knot there but I like having it narrow in order to grab and pull the knife out,

and with the whipping knot, it keeps it from going around the end of the handle now.

3x 32" DIY chain lanyards. 1 each connected to a Leatherman Charge TTI+ multi tool, a (58mm) SAK Mini Champ, and (85mm) SAK Evo Grip 14. Anchor ends to a Nite-Ize belt loop key ring.

Potted plant hanger chain. 100# test saltwater fishing snap swivels for each end will be here this weekend, if Amazon is being truthful.

Looks great!
Once you figure it out they tie fast. I can do them in seconds now. Of course it helps that I made over 250 of them with my keychain and fob makes.

Thanks, the regular Diamond knots are far more simple than the wide ones, but now I think I can do one each time and the larger knot is handier for lanyards, more area for your finger to hook around and draw the knife.

I actually have my knives made that way. No fob holes on the presentation side
